I've never had such a great experience with an HVAC company. iComfort actually cares about their customers! This is the company you want if you're considering any repairs or replacements of your systems, they will do whatever it takes to get your system running again. Back story: I had a new daikin heat pump installed 2.5 years ago by a different company. The original company stated that the system came with a 10 year parts manufacturer warranty. When my system went out (from what I was told was caused by a power surge) the original install company told me that the warranty would not be honored and that I needed to spend another $15k to install another brand new system. No matter what I said, they just would not honor the manufacturer warranty because they didn't want to get their hands dirty and just wanted to make money by selling me a brand new system. I searched through many daikin certified HVAC companies and all of them told me they didn't want to get involved to help me out and would only sell me a new system. Meanwhile my wife, my 18 month old and myself went all winter without heat because no one would help me repair my existing system by getting daikin to honor the warranty and I didn't have money to buy another brand new system. Finally, I found iComfort. They told me it was going to be a hassle because daikin has notoriously bad customer service, but they could get me up and running again and that yes, the first company lied because they knew it would be a hassle but daikin would honor their parts warranty in this situation and all I'd have to pay for is labor. iComfort came out multiple times, spent hours and hours on the phone with daikin tech support to diagnose what was wrong. Multiple times they were told to order incorrect parts that took weeks to arrive (again, no fault of theirs, don't go with daikin). iComfort never let up though. Each time new parts arrived, they'd be out the very next day to get them installed and to diagnose what was still wrong after a new part was installed. They never changed the original labor price I was quoted and I'm sure they lost money on this interaction due to how many hours their tech Corey spent at my house. They persevered until my family and I had heat again and didn't charge me until they knew I was back up and running. I wish I had known about them when originally shopping for new systems, I could have saved myself a huge hassle and three months of cold. If you go with this company, you won't be disappointed. They took care of me on a personal level when the original installers turned their backs on me and held my heat for a $15k ransom. Thank you iComfort!

George Colon and his wonderful crew are the only folks I will use for anything to do with my home’s hvac system. (See my review of 01/19/2011.) Once again George came through for me - this time when my very old unit stopped working the week we hit 120• In the SFV. I cannot recommend him and IComfort more highly. And I have hired them for hvac maintenance, too! Great price and peace of mind is so worth it.

I had to replace both AC units in my two-zone system. George Colon was very professional and clearly takes pride in his company's work. Of the four estimates I got, IComfort was competitive and did not try to sell me on the most expensive brands like some others did. George was the only one who invited me up into the attic to see how the old units were installed and suggest improvements. While you may not want to climb into the attic, for me, the exercise inspired confidence that the job would be done right. It was a big job and the crew had to work during a heat wave of 100+ temperatures in July, but they were reliable, courteous and communicated well. The house is now more comfortable than ever.

From the beginning, it was a pleasure working with George (Jorge) the owner.  My A/C broke during a heat wave, and I interviewed 4 other contractors.  George came the same day I called, even though he'd just come from the dentist, it was late in the day, and he'd planned on going home. Other contractors couldn't come for 4 days. He correctly diagnosed the problem (condensor broken), even though the first Angies list contractor Angies l had come to the home had tried to tell me I just needed more freeon (which made no sense since it the compressor was making a strange noise, the ceiling was vibrating and A/C was not working at all). The consensus of the other contractors was that I could spend $3000 for a new compressor on a 25 year old system, or around $11000 for a new 17 SEER system, so I went with the latter option as it made more sense to me.
 I did my homework, and American Standard was listed in a recent survey of 33000 consumer reports customers as having the fewest repairs over a 5 year period.  I also chose to replace all my old ducts with new, better insulated ducting, which was another $2400. (one contractor wanted to charge me $5000 for new ducts for my 2400 square foot home).
George provided me an estimate late the evening of his initial visit (other bids took 3 days to week!) and he was fortunately happened to be able to work me into his schedule quickly.  The bid was reasonable, and in line with other bids I received.
I had many questions throughout the process, as I like to research everything, and understand all aspects of a project, and George was extremely accessible, returning my emails and phone calls promptly, sending me pictures, and was very patient and polite responding to my many questions.
His crew was pleasant and professional, always smiling, even though they worked like dogs and were sweating bullets in my 110 degree attic.  They cleaned up nicely after they left each day.
It was a four day project, and George was there the first day to run through everything with his crew, and the last day to review the job completion, and show me how to use the thermostat.  He was easily available for questions throughout. Some old ceiling  plaster in a downstair closet fell down while they were working in an upstairs attic, and George immediately found a dry wall guy to repair and repaint the ceiling to match the color in my daughter's bedroom. It looks like new!
This is a down-to-earth, hardworking, small family-owned enterprise, and I would give them my highest recommendation.  There is no hype, they give personalized attention, and they get the job done with a no nonsense attitude.

The service technician was very professional and very knowledgeable.  We both agreed that the problem was potentially being caused by either a bad circuit board or dirty connectors.  We decided to take the less expensive route first and see how things went with cleaned up connectors.  If things still aren't working properly, I will definitely be calling California Comfort to install a new board.
I felt the service technician was being honest with me and not pushing other more expensive options on me to solve my problem.  Having someone I feel I can trust will bring me back to a company many times over.
Overall, I'd say it was a good experience and would definitely call them again and recommend them.

California Comfort and their friendly crew did a fantastic job of replacing our old furnace system with a new energy efficient two stage HVAC system. They discussed and reviewed the choices with us thouroughly before any work was done. Communication was very good and any concerns or problems were resolved professionally. The crew was always friendly and prompt. They kept the work areas clean and ensured everything was done to our satisfaction. The system really works well and they assisted with getting our rebates. My AC unit turned on, no problem, but the air wasn't blowing thru the ducts.... called Ca Comfort (because of their "A" reviews) on a Saturday morning and was lucky enough to get George out here that same day. Within 20 minutes, he diagnosed the problem to be incorrect furnace wiring, i had the furnace serviced a few months back from another company. He did some re-wiring and the problem was corrected within the hour at very reasonable rate (this was the best part). George seemed very honest, knowledgeable, willing to answer my curious AC questions, gave advice and recommendations BUT didn't try to sell/ "push other services. I'd definitely call him first for future AC issues.

I think their responsiveness and customer service was fine, although I thought the tech that was sent out wasn't as good as the installer that came out.  He seemed like he was newer and didn't have as much experience.  He did ultimately complete the job it just took a little longer.  It wasn't as fast as I think I would have wanted it.

Making a timely repair on an old unit whose life is near its end can be a challenge, but California Comfort owner George and technician Juan came through for us. The induction motor assembly on our old Trane unit failed due to age and a replacement would take about a week to come from the factory. Since it was fiercely cold, George made a special effort to locate a compatible part in a nearby city which took only one day to arrive. There was some confusion as to when they could swing by to install it, but Juan took time at the end of his day to swing by and spend a couple of hours getting the system back up and running so my family didn't have to suffer for another night. Thank you guys for such excellent service!

On Thursday night, cold air was coming out of ducts when the heat was switched on. On Friday, the techs from the company diagnosed that the inducer blower motor on the furnace was not operating and needed to be replaced. The unit is Lennox and could not use a universal replacement. The part had to be Lennox. George, the company owner, was online with his distributor and on the phone with me at 8 o'clock at night trying to get the part for me for a Saturday morning install. He tried to purchase the part online but the website said the part was out of stock. He hoped that that was an error. His tech phoned me in the morning and told me he was at the distributor, waiting for him to open. He called back a short time later to tell me that the part was indeed out of stock. I checked with another service company and was told that this is common for Lennox repairs, and that the distributor George was using is the best for Lennox parts. George and the tech were able to make the repair on Monday because they expedited the shipping for me. Everyone I dealt with at California Comfort from the woman who answers the phone, the techs, and the owner were friendly, professional, and good at what they did. I highly recommend their services.

There is no reason to call anyone else. For all Angie's List customers looking to have a new system installed or their existing system serviced/repaired, these are the guys to go with. They were here when they said they would be; they were professional and nice; they took every step possible to keep the interior of the house spotless.
