They drilled a hole in the slab. There were supposed to back them with water, but they didn't do that. The job went well otherwise. They are not the kind that comes out every month and sprays the house. It's a one-time service kind of thing. They did an inspection of the home, and there were other items that needed work. I called them to arrange to have the other work done. They do only termite control, and they were not interested in doing the wood and the carpentry related to dry rot stuff. They never called and said they didn't do that and that they could recommend so and so. They never followed through on that.
Response from Sheppard Termite Services
"We have tried to find this past customer/property in our data base and can not locate either. We have also tried, without success, to locate a phone number through other avenues so that we could contact him. We have sent a letter to the address listed in this report in effort to contact. Although we do appreciate the fact that it was stated he would hire us again, we strive for 100 percent satisfaction. Part of the treatment process for Subterranean termites can invovle drilling a series of holes through concrete slab(s) where needed to allow for sub-slab injection. After the injection, we use a plastic plug, inserting it into the drill hole, a bit below surface. The remaing portion of holes or divets are then filled with cement. We usually try to use the dust created from drilling to use for filling, to provide the closest possible match to the surface color of the existing concrete slab. It may be that the filler/cement used to top the holes/divets became dislodged. We woild be happy to return to re-fill/top the holes as needed to provide full customer satisfaction. We do perform inspection, treatment and (most) repairs. In some cases - for example - where large areas of roofing repairs are necessary, or complete roof covering replacement may be necessary, or other similar situations, for practical reasons we may recommend the Owner employ others to make repairs. (Such as a Roofing Contractor, or others who specialize in a specific area.)"
