I called Home Depot extended warranty about my LG Washing Machine that the lid shattered on, they told me that Quality Appliance would be calling me and would come out. I received a call from Quality Appliance stating that they would be here between 8 and 9 am and they did arrive on time. The technician brought his tool box with him and said he heard my washing machine wasn't working. I told him it was working but the lid shattered. He said well I'll take a look. He said he had never seen a lid shatter. I said it just shattered for no reason. So he said he would take down the model number and call the company and see if they would replace the lid. Before he left, he said he never saw one shatter and I said yes I know it shattered for no reason; he said well, we'll go with that - like I was lying. I didn't hear back from him but I waited 3 weeks to call because it was near Christmas and New Years, so I gave him some time. I called both his phone numbers, office and cell, and the first day I called the phones were busy all day. The second day I called, the phones rang with no answer and no voice mail. The third day I called I reached his wife, and she said she would check on my order when her husband got off the computer and get back to me in a bout an hour. She did not call me back. My husband called and spoke to the same women a few days later. The woman said she would call him back after she checked with her husband to see what the status was. We did not receive a call back. A couple days later my husband called again and the woman said she would check and see the status and call him back. We did not ever receive a call back. I called Home Depot and they said that my lid was not covered because the repair man said that the lid broke from abuse. Long story short, it didn't matter why the lid broke it was not covered under Home Depot's extended warranty, but the repair man from Quality Appliance never did answer my calls to let me know that. I ended up ordering a lid myself from the internet, but Quality Appliance could have had the decency to let me know what was going on.
Description of Work: Quality Appliance Inc is the repair service that Home Depot sent to my home when I called about my LG Washing machine for a shattered lid.
