Merry Maids of Vacaville

Although this is not a rating for all the Merry Maids franchise, just the one in Vacaville, CA. I cannot and do not recommend this company. |

Poor.

I hired Merry maids in 2009 and used them up to September 2012.  When I first hired them, I had them come in once a month, as I worked out of town and just wanted the house to be clean when i did come home.  They charge me their initial clean ($243) for each month.  When I finally moved home for good, I switched to biweekly, in which their rate came down $126, and at this point I came to realize I was being ripped off for a year and a half.  
Once living at home, I also came to realize their cleaning was superficial, and wasn't a good clean.  My bathroom began to pick up mold, though cleaning biweekly, this problem should never have happened.
I would not recommend this company to anyone.  You are paying for the name.

I have been using Merry Maids for about 6 weeks now. I have weekly service. They started with the "deep cleaning" with a crew of 4. I had a crew of 3 coming for a couple of weeks that did an AMAZING job and their crew leader is beyond awesome. However for the past 3 weeks I have had assorted crews that have come and their quality of cleaning is nowhere near what the "A' team crew did. I have had to re-clean bathrooms and floors, it looks fine until you get up close...I called to complain to Michelle..she offered to have them come and re-clean...no point since I did it myself as  I had a house full of company coming the next day.One of the crews left a gate open and let my elderly dog out..he was feet from getting into the highway when my Dad spotted him and he jumped over my fence and fractured his foot in the process. Who doesn't close a gate behind them?? This past week one of them took it upon themselves to actually lower my thermostat...I keep it at 76 and one of them lowered it to 72..I cannot believe they had the nerve to do that. I called and left a complaint on their machine...  no response. If there is one more incident...there will be no more Merry Maids at my house. For the amount of money I am spending this house should be cleaned like they did for first 3 weeks every time.

They are excellent. They are on time. I've only had one occasion where I had to call about a specific worker, and she was only a fill-in and is no longer there. They have a few different crews, and they have all been great.

Merry Maids do a great job.  They really show attention to detail and are very reliable.

They did a great job. Very professional, very thorough. They made sure before they left that all the areas that I wanted clean were clean, inside drawers, inside cabinets, floors, everything.

We used merry maids for about four months.  They did a good job at first, but then their quality started to diminish after each visit.  They had a crew of 2-4 people and only one of them spoke english.If you need to get a hold of the manager, they are very bad at calling you back.  They also did not give any curtesy calls to remind you that they will be coming out to clean your house.  There were several instances where we needed to talk to the manager about changing the day they came and the manager never called back.The topper was during Christmas, a gift mysteriously disappeared.  We tried to reach the manager and they took over two weeks to get back to us. We had to initiate the call.  In their response, they passed the blame to someone else and never took responsibility.  I would never use them again.

If you cannot find cleaners from references of you friends and neighbors (new in town thus my situation) then Merry Maids is the best way to get your home cleaned. But don't look for warm and fuzzy here...you'll never get the same cleaners twice and their service is strictly by (their) book, so pay attention to the details and ask questions when signing up for this service.

They have different packages of service and I took one where they paid attention to one of the areas of the house and then they cleaned the rest of the house. I've used them before. Two ladies came out and one worked on the first floor and the other one worked on the second floor. The way they clean a house is not the way we would clean the house. It is a little more cosmetic than deep but that is the way that Merry Maids work unless there are specific instructions and then they would probably charge extra. Otherwise it is cosmetic but the place looks good afterwards.

Merry Maids did a very good job of cleaning the house.  They were very thorough in their cleaning. 

Their price is fine. They do a great work on everything. I have been using them for years. They are reliable, trustworthy, and do a good job. I will definitely use them again in the future too.

They have been excellent. They are efficient, thorough, polite, and dependable. The price is a little on the high side but it isn't too bad. They are bonded and licensed and the people that they have are responsible; you pay for that.

I do not always receive the same cleaners every month, but the quality of work is still excellent. My only comment would be that they need to go a little bit more easy on the blinds. They are sometimes bent in the cleaning process.

I'M VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK DONE BY THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. THEY ARE TRUSTWORTHY AND DEPENDABLE. THEY CLEAN MY FLOORS BY HAND AND I LIKE THAT. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH THEM AND THEIR WORK. THEY DID A REALLY GOOD JOB. I THOUGHT THAT THE PRICE WAS REALLY EXPENSIVE BUT THEY DO REALLY GOOD WORK. I HAVE USED THEM BEFORE.

THE COMPANY SEEMS TO BE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY ALWAYS SHOW UP ON TIME TO ORGANIZE AND CLEAN MY HOUSE. THEY ARE VERY COMMUNICATIVE AND FRIENDLY. NOTHING HAS EVER COME UP MISSING IN THE FOUR YEARS I HAVE USED THEM.
