Lon Gordon Dependable Handyman

I hired Lon Gordon to do some roofing and general carpentry work on my house. He was suppose to be there on a Monday but called that day and said he had a Doctors appointment and couldn't be there until Wednesday!! No biggie but later he let it slip out that he had been working another job which he should have just told the truth in the first place. When he arrive Wednesday he stated he needed half of the money before he started which wasn't mentioned before and I also had to pay for all of the materials up front. I was alarmed by this and wish I had fired him from the start but I wanted it done. It took him two extra days and more cost upgrades that came later and when he was finally finished he work seemed OK but after a few months the mistakes are showing in his poor workmanship. I wish I had followed my gut and sent him home in the first place.
