This provider accomplished this type of work for me previously for as part of another job, so I was fairly comfortable to call them again with this project. I don't get up and down ladders like I used to, hence the call. On 8/14, by 6 p the technician did not show and there was no status call. I presumed that the office was closed at 5 p, so I did not call. This morning (8/15), I called to find out what happened to my 8/14 appointment. The girl apologized profusely, saying she dropped the ball. Another appointment was set up for today between 4p and 6p. OK, fine. At 505p, I called the office to find out if the technician would arrive by 6p. The man I spoke with said this was the first he had heard about the job. I became very upset and cancelled the work request. I understand that this job could be considered "small." or "insignificant." And I understand that schedules get behind. But there is absolutely no excuse for not communicating changes or delays to the customer, who is paying the bill. The good reputation this firm had with me from the work they did the first time around has been has been tarnished. I will not use them again. I strongly do not recommend them. If a company cannot be trusted in small matters, it cannot be trusted in large ones.
