David was prompt n professional and showed my daughter n myself how to operate it. He was very patient and kind.

They are reliable. Show up when they say they will and know what they are doing.

Problems fixed quickly. Then technician basically asked what other worked was needed. That's okay. We had some other plumbing work that needed doing. They obviously needed the work by asking and that the tech had the time. That was disconcerting. Tech ended up incorrectly overcharging a job by some $300. With some delving into the details of the invoice and strong complaining, the ended up having the owner come by to tend to our concerns. Another job I found highly overpriced. A few weeks later, found tech did one job incorrectly. I won't be so quick to hire them again.

My husband and I were tired of the inefficiency of our AC. While the unit itself was operable, the system just wasn't working for us. We were constantly scrambling for ideas to make our home more comfortable but keep our energy costs reasonable. At around the same time we decided to replace our taxed water hear we decided to look into having our attic insulated. We had a couple of quotes on the attic insulation and I felt like the bids sounded "gimicky" trying to sell us services and products I didn't really feel that we needed. My husband thought of Klaus and Sons and made the call (at around 530pm no less) and they were out the next day. John listened to our energy concerns, got a feel for what we really needed, surveyed our attic, and talked with us about our options for a solid two hours. His knowledge and expertise was absolutely unmatched. Literally unmatched, not a single contractor explained or suggested the solutions that John laid out for us. We were so comfortable with the solutions that he suggested that we signed the contract immediately.
Each person who has worked in our house throughout the process has taken their time to do the job thoroughly and correctly. They absolutely pride themselves on a job well done and it shows. They have worked tirelessly, neatly, and efficiently, but I've been most impressed with how well they all work together. This is a company that operates like a well-oiled machine. Everyone communicates clearly, they have a common goal of satisfaction for a job done right. We've been hugely satisfied with the work that Klaus and Sons has done in our home. Thorough is the best word I can use to describe the manner in which this company works. They have worked above and beyond the scope we expected. We're not only pleased with the level of skill, professionalism, and expertise of Klaus and Sons but we're almost indescribably more comfortable. There is a measurable difference in the way that our AC system operates. Our house is cooler, more comfortable, the airflow is vastly improved, and the system is running smoother and more efficiently than ever before. 
The only thing I regret about this process is the money and the time we wasted before realizing the magic that Klaus and Sons delivered. 

***I would be remiss not to mention that mid-AC improvement I asked if they might be interested in removing our fireplace and opening up our house a bit. This was previously only a dream to me. The fireplace was nothing short of a monolith. It was a huge, solid rock structure. Not like the type of rock fireplaces you might see in a cabin, not a rock facade, these rocks were huge. Floor to ceiling with cantilevered concrete hearths on each side (yes, it was a two-sided beast) and about twelve feet across opening into the living room and kitchen. While interesting and unique, it really never suited the style of our home and was also non-functional as it had no damper/flue and only filled our home with smoke on the few occasions we opted to use it over the years. We'd discussed cosmetic options previously and even consulted with concrete/masonry contractors to see if they might be able to improve, if not remove, it. It seemed insurmountable to us for so long. When I asked John whether it was something they might be willing to tackle he responded that while it would be a job that it was nothing they couldn't handle. They handled it! The difference is amazing; we now have better airflow, more open, updated, cleaner, and just a completely improved state of our home.

This is my third experience with Klaus & Sons, and I continue to be extremely satisfied. They are punctual, pleasant to work with, are tidy, and fairly reasonably priced.
On this particular occasion, the young man's name is Charlie.  He was respectful to this senior citizen,  and ultimately took care of a poorly functioning toilet at a time when he was on-call (a Saturday.)  He could very well have put me off to another day, but he was very kind and took care of me that day.  He was very patient and answered all my questions and did everything he could (I think) to try and avoid replacing the toilet.  But that's what it ultimately came down to.
So even though I wasn't prepared to spend $500+ on plumbing that day, the experience wasn't as bad as it could have been had I not received such good customer care.
I sing the praises of Klaus and Sons.  I think they do a good job for a fair price and their people are pleasant to work with.
Give them a try!

Day one, only able to work 2hours due to my schedule, narrowed the problem down to one area. Day 2 Andrews day off, sent Charles sorry but the problem got much worse while he was here. Day ¾ weekend, called office as asked for Andrew, he came Monday and fixed all the problems in just 1 hour. Knows what he is doing, he said I may need more work in the future which I expected, all and all good, quick, helpful service.

It's pretty good. I haven't had to call them since we've had our heating and plumbing. They did such a beautiful job, we didn't have to call them back. They were really nice. I really like them. I would recommend them to anybody. They're always right there on time. If they're going to be late, they always call and let you know that they've been delayed for some reason or another but that doesn't happen too often. They're very considerate. If I was going to have anything done to my kitchen remodeling, plumbing, air conditioning and heating, they would be the ones that I would call.

They were professional. He always kept in contact with me. I haven't had any problems with them. They are pretty responsive. He always calls me back. I guess I must have had his cell because I was always able to call him back and he will pick up the line. He has more of a problem with my scheduling because I was in trial when this all happened. He had to work around my schedule. The only I wish they did more of, is work weekends, at least one weekend of the month. It is kind of hard to take off two days of work to have somebody to do that. It takes two to three days to install. Another day when they come out to check the final work especially if your getting it through California program that I use they will do one more check to make sure it is done properly. They was here for like at least two hours at the most but just waiting around. That took half my work day too.

On time, on budget, get care in their work and service.

2 technicians arrived promptly and were THE BEST.  They were both polite and respectful.  They worked non-stop and answered all my questions about the installation.  I can't praise them enough. It was refreshing to see young men who worked hard and were pleasant to deal with.

Working with Klaus and Sons was an excellent experience starting with Dan, and ending with Junior and Ronnie.  They will definitely get all my future business.  I highly recommend them.

They are very professional, very people friendly. They do an excellent job. I would highly recommend them. They are very honest.

Marino was the tech who responded both times.  He had 28 years experience per out conversation and it showed.  Not only did he replace the part, but tightened all connections in a/c and furnace housing and at the compressor.  To me, he checked the whole system which was above and beyond for the repair.  He took pride in his work.  He also cleaned the compressor and added a some gas to meet spec.s.  I didn't have a leak, he used digital equipment which was much more sensitive than the equipment from 10 years ago.  He explained everything and answered my questions.   I had taken apart the motor and noted the thermistor was burnt.  He explained they no longer replace/solder parts due to insurance and liability.  This does make sense in these litigeous times, but I did keep the original motor to repair in case the new one blows out in the future.   The last one made it 10 years, so I hope this one does also.  The motor came with a 1 yr. warranty.  Lastly, the additional gas and compressor service were all included in the $1050.  I was expecting to pay more, but that was the out the door price.
I felt Marino knew what he was doing, was polite, professional, and answered all my questions without bother.  I will ask for him the next time I need service.  Its nice to watch someone who really knew what they were doing.
This company put in a new a/c heating in a condo that I own.  They did a good job then, and as I was happy with their service, I called them for this job.
