Tai Painting

My husband and I bought a new house (well, "new" to us).  It was in really good condition, but it needed updating.  We decided before we moved in we would tackle some key items, including the following: 
-Replacing the popcorn ceilings (including a vaulted living room ceiling; no asbestos)

• -Painting the interior walls (except for the kitchen and bathrooms, resulting in 1540 sq. ft. of room space )
• -Repainting the doors and trim
• -Painting the kitchen cabinets
• -Adding 5" painted baseboards throughout (except in the kitchen and bathrooms).  

Tai was recommended to us by our Realtor.  He met us at the house with our Realtor, and provided us a quote by the next day.  His prices seemed reasonable (especially after watching a Do-It-Yourself YouTube video on how to remove popcorn ceilings.  No thanks!).  So we engaged his services.  The seller of the house was going to rent back from us for no more than two weeks, but his exact move-out date was not fixed.  Tai was very flexible in his timing.  When the seller ended up moving out sooner, Tai was able to start right away.  I planned to meet him at the house at 8 am to walk through everything we wanted done.  Tai and his team beat me there, and the were already in my driveway and almost unloaded by 7:50 am.  We walked through the house, and in addition to understanding what I wanted, he gave me some really good advice on how to choose the texture of the ceiling, the look of the baseboards, etc., which was really helpful as a first-time homeowner.
Long story short (or maybe not), my husband and I LOVE the end result.  Tai did a great job, and he came in at or under his time estimates for the different parts of the job, and it cost exactly what he said it would cost.  Moreover, his attention to detail, especially with the base boards was wonderful, and he did little extra things that were above and beyond, but really made an impression.  For example, the flooring guys had torn out baseboards in some of the areas they were not supposed to (e.g., a couple of the closets).  Even though I hadn't paid Tai to put in the baseboards in those areas, he offered to do it at no extra charge.  I would definitely hire him again.
