After reading about a rash of break-ins during termite fumigation, I evaluated my options for security. Homes undergoing fumigation make an attractive target for burglary because it is known that no one can be in the structures, and the windows are unlocked and open. Apparently, thieves use gas masks to go inside. Southwest Patrol allows you to customize security to just what you need - you can hire a guard to be there all the time (more expensive) or request them to make a specified number of visits. They have a flat fee per visit. I opted for four visits between the hours of 12am - 6am, when I felt the property would be most vulnerable - this was over two nights that the tents had to be up. I received a detailed patrol report by email, and it really gave me piece-of-mind as I had to vacate my home during the holidays.
