Ted was referred to me by my roofer who was perfectly capable of replacing some fascia boards, but couldn't fit me into his schedule.  Ted and his crew had just finished building a house and were happy to do my little project.  The fascia board was huge and way at the top of a second story, but they handled it easily.  Next was the removal of a decorative window box that had been deteriorating, and replacing the trim with something different.  We talked at length about how to design new trim for the window in keeping with the character of the house, and the result looks fabulous. The third major piece was a 4" x 6" resawn beam over my front porch which needed to be replaced, and the guys handled that with ease, too.  They even added a bevel detail to that beam and 2 others that I had always envisioned.  A fourth piece of fascia was also replaced.  
Ted found some termite activity and didn't want to continue with the repair until a pest control guy came out to spray.  Ted obviously has a well-connected circle of tradesmen in OC and the pest control guy came within a couple of hours of Ted calling him.  The same went for the roofer who fixed a roof tile that cracked.
In discussing my upcoming plans to have the house painted, I realized I had hired the wrong painting company.  Ted's team had more strategies to keep the house in tip-top shape so it wouldn't need to be painted again for another decade.  I fired the other painter and hired Ted's crew.
Paint crew Martin and Oscar are dedicated to their craft, and very knowledgeable.  It took several days to get the job done, but they did not hurry and communicated with me each step of the way.  Areas of weathered wood siding got 3 coats of tinted primer.  Who does that?  I was amazed.  The finish coat is Satin finish and looks impenetrable.  The lines between the blue siding and white trim paint are straight as an arrow and make the house look like a million bucks.  
My neighbors asked if I was getting the house ready to sell, but that's not the case at all.  We're just protecting our investment.  We would call Ted for any home improvement project we encounter far into the future.  We've found a gem in the construction industry.  I like to call him "The Norm Abram of the West Coast."

They did a very professional job. My water heater had a gas leak in it and the gas company came out and shut it down. I needed another water heater so I called the people who installed the current one and they couldn't come out for a couple of weeks. The lady from there called and said they had a contractor in my area that could probably have it installed the next day. I called the guy and he was able to install it the next morning. The craftsmanship was excellent. I have absolutely nothing but good to say about this person. He is  a general contractor. The price included everything, such as the water heater, the proper drainage, the gas line and extending the solid gas pipe out from the wall so he could reach it.
