Mike Watson is a very nice, knowledgeable guy. I called him when my computer broke and he said he'd come over at no charge to take a look and if he thought he could help then his rates would be $100 an hour. (Though he also said that if he couldn't fix it, he would charge me, which made a big impression on me as almost no one ever tells me that.) He ended up spending some time looking at my computer and running some checks. Answered a lot of my questions and thought it might be my video card or the way I had replaced some memory recently. Asked if he could take the computer back to his office and work on it. (Though if i wasn't comfortable with that, i think he would have worked on it here.) We set a limit of $150 and I asked him to let me know if it was requiring more time. Meanwhile, since he had spent some time on it already i offered to pay him something for his first visit. (He declined but i paid him something anyway.) Cut to the end: He ran a number of diagnostic tests on it, replaced the video card for testing and in the end was able to determine it was a dual prob I had with video card and memory issues. He fixed them both. Sure sounded like he spent much more than a few hours on it, but he charged me the $150. My computer works beautifully now and it's even faster than before. Highly recommend Mike Watson.
Description of Work: My computer was freezing and not starting properly. Mike fixed it.
