Big O Tires

Although this is part of a nationwide chain, this facility gives as much personal service as any local operation could. They're fair and honest about repairs--on a few occasions I've brought my car in for a repair only to have them tell me I didn't need it. For example, I was pretty sure I needed new brakes because of a noise I was hearing. The guys at Big O told me my brakes were fine--they just cleaned out the dust and didn't charge me a penny.
I've also been impressed with their pricing. A few years ago one of their servicemen spotted a crack in my radiator. I confirmed what he'd told me elsewhere, shopped around for prices, and went back because Big O's price was much cheaper than elsewhere.
But what really makes me a dedicated customer is the way they go above and beyond my expectations regarding service. The owner, Victor, has amazed me on several occasions. When my elderly dog was unable to travel, and we were mostly housebound, Victor came up to my place--a 20-minute drive each way--to pick up my car, bring it to the shop for a repair, then deliver it back to me, all with a smile and "I'm happy to help." On another occasion I'd opened the hatchback of my car to find a king snake coiled in the corner. I removed the snake, but since I live in rattlesnake country I was concerned about who else might be hiding in the car. I called Victor, he told me to bring it in, then searched the vehicle for any signs of other snakes. He didn't find any, but told me how to keep my vents closed to keep animals out...all at no charge.
So...I can't speak for other Big O facilities, but I trust the one here in Ukiah for reliability, good prices, and great service.
