CARSON ROOFING

All three Jobs went very well. On one of the jobs they were able to use the products they had in the yard so I got a good discount. It has been 20 years on the first roof , 15 years on the second and 10 on the third, we live in an extremely windy area with occasional small tornadoes and summer heat above 120 degrees, and all three roofs are still holding their own. Their prices were very competitive and I am calling them again this week for another roof on another house. Mr. Thurman has retired completely now and his son has taken over the business in the same style as his father. They were also very good on repairs to another property. They gave me a good quote, used good materials, and did all of the jobs in a timely manner. They cleaned up after themselves quite nicely. No nails scattered on the ground!

Apparently the shingles he recommended and which I selected were high quality materials. The completed job looked OK, but it turned out that the shingles had been installed with nails that were too short. Within a couple of years shingles began blowing off. (The roofing contractor who replaced the roof in Sept 2010 told me that the shingles he removed were in decent shape, but had been improperly installed, and thus blew off whenever there was more than gentle wind.) When I telephoned the company to seek some kind of response, not only did I not receive a helpful response, the responder was downright rude and nasty.
