Completely incompetent and unprofessional company. I met with this company's representative back in October 2020. They were contracted to install a lattice and a patio cover, with lighting, ceiling fan, and 4 additional electric outlets. Construction and installation finally begins in January 2021. That same day while the installer was tapping into the already existing electrical outlet on the backyard of my home, immediately the power outlet trips. This company never tested any of the electrical outlets and automatically assumed they could tap into that particular outlet not thinking with the additional strain on that circuit could result in ultimately tripping the GFI. Now anytime I use any outlet that is on that particular circuit, it trips the GFI. I paid this company to permit the entire project. When the permit inspector showed up, he himself spoke to the owner of this company along with several other representatives stating that the installation of the electrical was not done to code and they needed to correct this by tapping into another circuit not tied to a GFI. This has literally gone back and forth for over 5 months. I've personally spoke to this companies installers/contractors, the original sales rep, and the secretaries. They continue to say the same thing every time. They will supposedly get back to you and will correct the electrical. Even the permit inspector has let them know they can be completely shut down if they do not correct what they are supposed to do and in the future could prohibit or stall them from ever getting permits in the city. Completely unsatisfied with this company. Now LJ Hausner wants me to pay for an outside electrician to correct their mistakes. What makes this story even more crazy, is that when construction/installation was originally scheduled to begin, the owner of the company sent me an email stating: 1. The installation crew will arrive between 9am – 11am 2. The installation crew will ask for the delivery of materials payment before getting started, unless the job was financed. 3. If you are not home, please make sure to leave access into the back yard. We will proceed with installation and collect the payment when we see you. 4. If we are installing ceiling fans, light fixtures, or porch lights please make sure to have them at the job site – there will be a $150.00 charge if we need to return and install them. We will provide the recessed lights. 5. Please make sure the area is clear where the patio cover is being installed. If we cannot proceed with installation there will be a $300.00 charge to return once the area has been cleared. I responded stating this in an email: I confirmed this over the phone yesterday. Also since I see all these extra charges if this or that happens, which I definitely do not anticipate any problems on my side. Unforeseen things could happen. How will I be compensated me if your team doesn’t show up on time, finish on time, during the days we’ve agreed on? Since I will be taking off work and I make well over $100 per hour. Then I feel that you should be compensating me if you don’t show up on time, or finish on time as agreed. Like you my time is extremely valuable and we need to make sure this is not a one way street. I expect your company to do exactly as agreed, meaning: Showing up on time Completing the job on time Cleaning up everyday after the work is done for that day. If you have any questions. Please call me to discuss. If not, we are 100% ready to move forward on the scheduled days. This was the owners response: As long as you have area cleared and fixtures then we should be all good! See you next week. We’re looking forward to building you a beautiful cover!!! Still till today this has not been fixed or corrected. This company needs a very large lawsuit and they need their license suspended. Completely unethical and dishonest. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH LJ HAUSNER CONSTRUCTION CO.

We looked at a lot of different aluminum patio companies, and chose this one.  Their price was lower than any of the others, and their solid patio cover looked very good in their display and brochures.  We changed the design after we signed the contract, and they revised our contract with no problem.  They were always easy to get a hold of, and very responsive.  Everyone we dealt with was very courteous and professional.  We had existing pavers in the area where we wanted the patio cover, and we thought for sure that we would have to remove a large part of our installed pavers in order for them to put the required 34" x 34" x 34" concrete footers in.  Their 2-man crew carefully removed only the pavers that were the exact width of the required holes for the concrete, and didn't disturb any of the other pavers around the holes.  They removed all the dirt for the holes without making any mess on our paver patio.  When the crew chief saw how one of the patio posts was going to line up oddly with an existing sidewalk and patio door, he asked if we would like him to change the location of the post slightly.  He changed the plans for us on the spot and had to order some extra materials, all at no additional cost to us.  They had said it would take 4 days to build, and even though we got a little rain and they had to get extra materials, they still completed it on time.
We couldn't be happier with our beautiful new patio!  I was hesitant at first about having an aluminum patio, instead of wood, because I was afraid it might look cheap or tacky.  It actually looks quite elegant and our neighbors are all envious!  We live in a fire danger area, so having a patio cover that won't burn is a huge benefit for us.  The facts that it can't get termites or ever need painting are also great bonus features.

We went to the LA County Fair and saw LJ Hausner Construction Co had a very nice patio cover on display. I talked to their rep and set up a time and date for a salesperson to come by for an estimate. Ralph (salesperson) showed up on time, took measurements and showed us several options for a new patio cover. Ralph took time to explain everything and answer all of my questions and we never felt the pressure of the "pushy" salesperson. I signed the contract and Ralph explained Matt would be contact person for the project. Matt called within a day or so and we set up a start date I wanted several weeks later for the project to begin. Matt called me and few days before the start date to confirm everything. The installers showed up on time kept the area clean and answered all of my questions. This job went smooth from start to finish...

They came to our house and showed pictures and models of different windows. They were good. Initially they gave a high estimate, but they came back after sometime and revised the estimate and reduced it about 50%.
