LIND DORN DESIGNS

Linda came well recommended from a friend from work, and our initial two meetings went fine. Our agreement was for her to layout a design for the first floor of my condo (roughly 450 square feet) including a general kitchen layout, furniture, etc. We did not agree on a total price, but her hourly rate was very reasonable. I provided her with detail measurements of my floor space and the current kitchen layout, and a general idea of how I wanted my kitchen layout. For the kitchen, I wanted a general idea of the layout because I knew a detail design costs $100 or so from supply stores. But she pleaded with me to let her do the detail design, and returned later with two alternate designs and a bill of $1,070! I only requested one design, and the second one was not what I had told her in our meeting. But since she was going to do the entire project, I paid the bill. When I wrote her an e-mail a few weeks later asking some practical questions, I never heard from her again!
