They came out on the 29th to inspect our old unit. They guy told us it was the compressor going out. This was a 39 year old unit. It was the original for the house. It was right before a horrible heat wave here. It was going to be well over 100 for several days in a row. He called his boss about getting it replaced. He was in shock too when he said they could schedule it the next day. They came and replaced it within 24 hours. When I went in to pay the bill, I just praised them up and down. They said that they were then scheduling two weeks out. I just caught them on a real good day where they had the time and had the equipment. They were awesome. just awesome. For us, who has never had to replace one before, it was a little shocking. I would say the price was good for what we got. I do not really know what other prices are out there. The service man and inspected our old unit and the guys who came to install had the timing down to a "T" They had to bring a crane in to remove the old one. It is on the roof and not on the ground. So, they used a crane to remove the old one and put in the new one.

I called Wally Falke's H/A and they had a service man out to my house within a couple of hours. The repair man was able to fix the problem quickly and without needing to replace any parts. Considering the service was performed on a Sunday I felt the price was more than fair. I would not hesitate to call on them again.

They are a local company and they were recommended by my brother in law. They have been using them for years. They come and do a fall and spring check on the air conditioning. They were out just before the air conditioning season. We have a contract with them. They've been great with everything.

Very good service. Scheduling was easy and prompt. The service man called about 1/2 hour before he arrived. He was professional and did a thorough job. I will be using Wally Falke's from now on for my heating/air conditioning needs.

They were great. I was worried because it's an old heater. He did tell me I should have it replaced.
I didn't feel pressured to do so. He replaced the part and that was that.

He rerouted water into the closet in my house where the mechanical parts of the system was and installed a faucet where I could put water back in the system when water had leaked out,.

My air conditioning system stopped functioning on Monday, 6/16. I called Wally Falkes and they sent someone out that afternoon to diagnose it. Jaime came out and "pronounced it dead" due to a shorted compressor. He clearly gave me my options that I had to get the system going again. I chose to replace the entire system since mine was a freon system which will be extinct in a couple of years. They ordered the equipment that afternoon and Tony and Jon showed up on Thursday to do the install. It took them about 6 hours to give us cool air in the house again. They then spent another hour or so finishing up the work. They cleaned up after themselves perfectly and were very pleasant to work with.
I have been with Wally Falkes for a couple of years now and have always found them to be very responsive to trouble calls. They have a very reasonably priced maintenance program that I subscribe to that gives me two scheduled visits a year to check my system. This is a great company with great people!

GREAT!  What a nice man, so professional and knowledgeable!  After he inspected our A/C unit, he told us some of the services performed (replaced thermostat, for instance) had been unnecessary.  We were told by the first company that our compressor was damaged and we'd need an entirely new A/C and heating system, and the first guy said he'd install it for $5400.  Rick Falkes said, not only did we NOT need a new system, but our compressor wasn't damaged in the least.  He made a thorough check of all the in-house returns and vents (which the first guy didn't do), double-checked the system on the roof, and told us to call him immediately if we have any problems.  All of this was done for NO CHARGE!!!  He said he added the free second opinion to his list of services, because he gets new customers that way, but he really wanted to find out what kind of companies are doing servicing in the area.  He thought the first service person we hired was so out-of-line, that he asked for copies of the first guy's receipts, so he could show his staff what kind of people are out there.  Great job, Rick!  We are so grateful for you, because we learned an expensive lesson.  Buyer beware, even if they have a good review on Angie's list.  Always get a second opinion if you're quoted high prices and receive questionable service.

I have been using Wally Faulke's for several years. My AC/heating unit was about 20 years old when I replaced it. I first called them when my heater went out about 5 years ago.  On a weekend.  On a holiday weekend.  By signing up for their annual maintenance contract (just over $100 a year), I was able to get regular rates on the weekend call, and a discount on their parts.  Ever since then, they come out to the house twice a year and check on the heater and the AC.
Three years ago I was warned that the AC compressor was on it's way out, but would make it a bit longer.  Not wanting to spend the $$, I decided to wait. Last summer I was told that the compressor was just about kaput, and I should consider getting a new compressor, a new AC unit, or a new system.  I got quotes for all of the above.  And procrastinated b/c I couldn't decide if I wanted to include the heating system or not.  Then winter came, and my heater died anyway, making the decision for me.
Wally Faulke's was very professional about working with me on the price (I did get another bid from another company) and were super responsive.  They were able to install a new unit within 48 hours -- during the holidays!
The installers let me know what they were doing and gave me time estimates, which I appreciated.  The office staff was very professional and friendly, and Rick was great to work with.
I have always been happy with their technicians and am pleased with their service.

I was called by a tenant that her air conditioner was not working well.  This air conditioner had been serviced twice earlier in the previous month.  First they replaced Freon, then they replaced the run capacitor.  Finally they said that the TXV valve was bad.  Buy the time I was finished I had paid $1400 to repair the air conditioner.  I feel I was taken advantage of because the tenant has health issues and cannot tolerate the heat and I needed the work done promptly .
Response from Wally Falkes Heating & Air Conditioning

"I am sorry the Member was disappointed with our service experience with him. We responded promptly and honestly and did communicate each time with him what the problem(s) were; what we would need to do to correct the problem and the total cost of the work needed. We feel our price is completely fair for the work we had to do and the warranty and expertise we provide with our work. We offer a lifetime warranty on our workmanship and a one year warranty on repairs. The Member gave us the ok to do the work twice before we completed the work. When we found out the TXV was bad we gave the quote and what was included in the quote (all parts, materials, tax and labor) to the Member the same day. It was 5 days before we received the part (special order) and installed it, leaving him time to get a quote from another company if he did not think our price was fair. The morning of the repair, the tenant let us know that the Member did not want us to do the work. We called the Member and explained for a second time what was included in the cost of the repair (all parts, materials, tax and labor) and the total cost of the repair and he gave us the ok to do the work. We did not recover and R-22 Freon and put it back into his unit, we do not recommend that because of the risk of contamination and problems in the future; we used new R-22 Freon and that was part of the total cost of the repair. We do appreciate our customers feed back and we use it as we continually strive to provide each of our customers with a great experience each visit. .I like having them out as my husband has had his hips replaced so I would prefer he not go down those stairs and I don't want to go down there. They are really good and do things that aren't even part of the job description like he helped move a refrigerator for us too. They are just wonderful. I will continue to use them.

I called Wally Falke's office to schedule an appointment to have my heater repaired. It had been working intermittently, and finally quit working completely. They offered a service appointment window that didn't work for me, and were happy to find a different time that would. The tech showed up on time, got right to work, and when he found the problem, came down off the roof to explain the problem, the solution, and the cost. He even showed me the replacement part, and, even though it was a small part, why it was expensive. I told him to go ahead and replace the part. He could tell I was curious about how stuff worked, and so he invited me up on the roof to watch him work, and as he did so, gave me a quick and informative explanation on how my heater worked, and also again why my old broken part was preventing the unit from working. When he was done, he had me sign the invoice, I gave him a check, and my home had heat. Great job!
