Our project was a total kitchen gut and remodel including additional flooring for the living room and hallway. Dave was easy to work with.At our initial meeting Dave took measurements and listened to what we wanted.He returned in about a week with an estimate. and a timeline for payment and a timeline the completion of the job. Dave was very professional as well as was his workers. His countertop employee was excellent and my countertops are amazing. Actually my whole project turned out amazing and I have received many compliments on the finished project. I would definitely would work with Dave again and would recommend him.

When I signed and gave the deposit to Mr. Pope, everything seemed in order. The project started fine and was well done. The issues arose when we were first told that even though he had worked figures into the quote for fixtures, I had to end up having to buy flooring, countertop, fans etc. which I was under the impression I wouldn't have to do. Requests for draws were communicated at the last minute. Some of this was fine. The main issue happened when he sent me what he felt was the final total owed. He was off by around $7,000. Then when I sent him my totals of the checks he had cashed, it worked out that I had overpaid by over $1,000 as he failed to include something else, so when I asked for the overpayment back is when I finally got the real total where we still owed $100 that he said to call it even. Ok. When my wife and I went and selected our flooring, we also picked out a quartz counter top slab that ended up being too short for our already installed cabinet that has been in the garage since before we had been here. We hadn't been given any dimensions to use, so that's why the slab was short and the counter sub sold us a piece that we used and paid for through Mr. Pope. The slab we had got was used for the new sink counter and that was it. I had then planned to build a rolling supply counter with that quartz as the top. When Mr. Popes employees came to clean up, they then took my quartz slab without asking. For over 3 months now, I have been trying to get the slab but to no avail. Constantly being told "I will locate it'. each time I have given him two weeks before replying as not to be pushy, but now, hopefully this may get him to actually get me my quartz slab back. I liked his work, but unfortunately this incident will prevent me from hiring him in the future.

Dave was easy to work with, listened to what my wife and I wanted, and did quality work. His advice was always helpful, and his years of experience really showed. We would definitely work with him again for our future renovations.

Dave was very easy to work with and was very accommodating when it came to making changes on different things. The concept of quoting the project (ours was a complete gut and remodel) and including "budget numbers in each area, was very helpful. This gave us the cost on average for good items. However, if we wanted something else or wanted to buy our own materials, he had no problems letting us do that and spend what we felt we needed and he just subtracted the budget amount for the materials. I thought that was cool because I am a person who likes to shop for bargains but want quality and he had no problem letting me buy any material we needed. He also some very good specialist that he uses. The Tile guy and his cabinet maker both do beautiful and exceptional quality and work. The comments we get on the tile and cabinets are endless. I've experienced improvements a couple times with not a good outcome, then I met Dave Pope I've never had a more professional in my home. His subs were Beond great, they really cared about my feeling when working in my home! He was always part of the picture,never late, always called to let me know what and when everything was coming! The entire project was performed in the highest of quality. Their communication was very good. The project was kept within budget and completed on time. My job, before retirement, was managing the maintenance department for wineries and had to hire contractors constantly. Dave Pope was a pleasure to work with on our master bath remodel. His employees were respectful, friendly, and efficient. Our remodel involved moving an exterior wall out a couple of feet, moving the toilet to where the small shower stall had been, installing a new large shower and fixtures, and tiling and painting. The new bathroom is a beautiful addition to our home.

The contractor helped me with planning on my kitchen remodel and made some very prudent recommendations. I'm happy to say, I took his recommendations and my kitchen looks a lot bigger, lighter and brighter than I could have imagined. His pricing was reasonable and he explained everything completely. He is a very trustworthy and reasonable person. He made sure everything was done correctly and always responded to me when I had questions or concerns about my project.

I just finished my second rehabbed home, with Dave Pope Construction as our contractor. I interviewed 6 contractors for my first home, and Dave was by far the right choice. He's professional, friendly, returns phone calls or texts quickly, and does a beautiful job! I have NO hesitation in recommending him, and will happily hire him again for my next one.
