Initially, the plan was to demo the 3/4 bath to replace the fixtures and tiles and to simply reglaze the tiles in the shower stall. However, it was found in the demo process that some of the wood was dry rotted and that being the case, I decided to demo the shower stall and remove the wall and the adjacent closet to make the bathroom larger so as to make space for a walk in tub. The bathroom, then effectively became a full bath. Through each step, TLC carefully explained what was being done and why. I appreciated the attention to detail and was fully involved in the decision making. I am very happy as to the results as I know that the bath was completely reconstructed with good materials and fitted with premium furniture and tiles. As far as TLC dedication to completing the job: they frequently stayed late to stay on schedule. I was impressed with the attention to detail by the workers. I will ask TLC for more remodeling work in my laundry room and kitchen in the future.
Description of Work: TLC demoed the 3/4 bath by removing the flooring, plastic tiles, wall tiles. Repaired the subflooring by replacing joists and bolstering and improving the subfloor with new wood. Also demolished was the shower stall and adjacent wall to prepare the space for a walk in tub installation. Old vanity, old toilet, old mirror cabinet and old utility cabinet were removed. The 3/4 bath was converted to a small full bath. A new wall was constructed where the old closet was previously in expanding the bathroom. All new walls and ceiling were re-drywalled. All surfaces painted. Floor and walk in tub surround were tiled with porcelain tile. New vanity, new mirrored medicine cabinet, new utility cabinet, new toilet were all installed after the floors and walls were finished. A pocket door frame was installed in the new wall and a new pocket door was installed. A new ceiling light fixture was also installed. New faucet was installed on the sink vanity.

Work proceeded in a timely fashion. Workers were careful to cover their tracks from front door to main bathroom with heavy canvas coverings. Vacuumed every day. Demolition of existing vinyl tiles and removal of old vanity and old toilet occurred first day. TLC worked very hard to install the tub faucet and shower hardware (needed to demo the tile and replace later). The air conditioning duct register had to be relocated and duct repaired from the basement to the bathroom. Floor was hardibacked and a subcontractor came in (Mr. Walters) to install the marble tiles. Tiling took two days which included grouting the second day. Tilers did an excellent job. After, the tiling, TLC workers installed the IKEA Vanity and Sink, painted the old existing cabinet and actually repaired the broken drawer without comment. One piece Kohler toilet was installed. Only remaining item was the installation of a threshold transition piece between hall carpet and the bathroom tile (not yet done). Reglazing of the tub was postponed as the bath was needed and the other bathroom would also be remodeled. The main bathroom was finished as promised prior to my daughter visiting which enabled a more relaxed atmosphere since both bathrooms were available for the four of us at home. Very pleased with the results. The marble floor looks marvelous. The new vanity, mirror cabinet, and toilet looks outstanding and was installed professionally. The overall job took 9 working days.
Description of Work: Demo full bath, relocate AC duct register, relocate AC power outlet and convert to GFCI, install new vanity cabinet, install new double mirror lighted cabinet, install new ceiling light fixture, install marble tile floor, install new one piece Kohler toilet, repair plaster cracks in walls, fresh paint on all walls and rebuild existing floor to ceiling cabinet including paint inside shelves. Install new baseboard trim, paint baseboard trim. Wire double mirror lighted cabinet. Promised reglaze of tub and surround tiles around tub within cost of service (future work). Almost forgot that new faucets and valves were installed on the shower/tub side with careful reconstruction of tiles removed for servicing the plumbing. New faucet was also installed on the new vanity.

Description of Work: The patio brick work was a lot of hard labor, and they followed through here. |However, it just didn't look even and appeared rough in places. The workers had to return several times to plane the doors because they wouldn't open all the way in areas that were newly paved.
