The leach lines for our septic system started to fail, so we contacted several companies for options. There were few choices that would perform conversions to sewer; the other company that came out never even provided an estimate. Mike from Gopher gave us a lot of helpful information - bottom line was that our local government won’t issue permits for septic work if you have access to sewer, which we did, so we bit the bullet to convert. Gopher did everything as planned, and finished early due to a cancellation in their schedule. Everyone in the crew was polite and communicated as needed. Mike was in touch frequently and we always knew what was happening. They cleaned up after themselves nicely. Overall we’re very pleased despite a surprise very expensive project.

Where do I begin? We recently purchased our home, and about a month after moving in a series of events unfolded that led to the discovery of an active cesspool under our driveway. The home disclosures said the house was on city sewer; and yes, we had a separate sewer inspection performed (that's another story). I searched for weeks for a company I felt comfortable handing this situation over to, but the companies either lacked knowledge or sensitivity to our finances. I couldn't find anyone I felt good about hiring. When the GM, Cliff, and his team arrived, it was clear I had FINALLY found people who knew what they were talking about. They were professional and honest. The workmen were on time, friendly, and worked hard the entire time they were here. The bill arrived for the exact amount on the initial bid. I have never been so happy to write a check for $7,200! My driveway looks like new, and we could not be more pleased. Thanks Gopher Construction!!

Gopher Construction Company was fine. I haven't had any problems to date, it's kind of soon to know if I'm going to have any problems but I think I'm okay, so far so good. They're a little pricier than other companies.

Cliff always responds immediately and sent out Frank, who has been the one servicing my septic system since Gopher installed it in 2001. He told me what was wrong, what needed to be done, and that he would check the entire system to ensure all was working well, including the alarm system. I have a complex system where the septic overflow is electrically pumped up a steep hill. Until we got this system, we were always having break-downs, causing smell and mess. Now, I know I can depend on Gopher when anything arises. They are always positive, never complaining about my steep site and difficult access. They are fabulous!!

Initial estimate was significantly less than final bill - but alot more work was done. Very professional. Excellent quality work.
He did say that it would be hard to know until he got inside to see what was happening. Ended up needed new water pipes too and he coordinated that also.
I felt like I was in good hands and really appreciated their professionalism and excellent work.

Cliff and the guys at Gopher Construction are top notch and very professional. We bought a house and learned during escrow it was on a septic. The former owners either did not know or did not care to maintain their septic, and who knows how long it was neglected. Gopher came to the house and did a visual inspection without digging up the yard, but gave us the go ahead on feeling reasonably comfortable that there would be no deal-breakers. We knew that the worst case would be a failing seepage pit or system, but that there would be options.
After escrow closed, Gopher came in and dug up the yard. They located our tank, which was FULL (and had not been emptied in years, at least). They also located the intake sewer line and fixed a cracked pipe and replaced it with new plastic. They dug up the seepage pits, emptied everything, and found that the system was structurally sound but failing, due to slow seepage. This was likely caused by the previous owner's neglect and letting the solids go into the seepage pits.
Gopher installed access points everywhere, rerouted the line to go to the secondary pit first (to let the primary pit dry out), and applied caustic salts. We are monitoring the system, and so far, the levels are better than expected. We may need to install a pirana system at some point, but right now it looks like everything is manageable, and we may just add some bacterial treatment at some point.
Cliff is a non-alarmist, and a comforting ally if you have a septic tank.

After contacting many septic companies, we found Gopher through Angie's list. They showed up with a calm and complete explanation of how to proceed, what might be necessary to resolve our problems. They completed the work punctually and for a fair price. Their crew was experienced and polite.

Overall experiance has been great. I would refer them to anyone.

I cannot say enough about this company! The crew was excellent from start to finish . Cliff was out to give my grandparents the estimate and his bid was the best. Not only was Cliff a very polite person but is a person who knows his trade a lot better than other guys that came out! We had our septic rank replaced and I could tell u that we have had no problems with the system at all. We are very please with the work and wouldn't doubt recommending Gopher Construction! Great job!

These guys were fantastic! They were a pleasure to work with from the initial phone call to wrapping up the job. I have a 1951 house on a syptic system. In a year and a half, I have had 3 different companies out dealing with different issues, none of which really fixed the problem. The Gopher guys are knowledgable on the surrounding area and practices of the time. They thoroughly explained what the problems probably were, the actions they would take to do the work and check the entire the system. I feel very comfortable and confident that Gopher knows their trade, and will complete the job on time, on budget with little hassle. And, I've never, ever, had a construction crew leave the site as good as, if not better, than when they arrived. I trust what they say and will always call Gopher first!

I bought an old house and the septic tank could not keep up with the demands of the house. I called Gopher and Cliff came out and gave me the estimate. Not only did he have the lowest bid, he also provided me with the most thorough and detailed write-up. Work started very quickly and they were done in less than a week. This was also done while I had tenants in the house and they were not inconvenienced. I cannot recommend them enough and wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future.

Incredible! Excellent! The inspector did an initial inspection and told me (the buyer) the good news that the system was in good condition and there was nothing more to worry about. There were multiple levels of inspection, reporting and certification and since this was for my benefit only, I did not want to spend too much money, I just wanted to know what I was getting into. He charged me the cheapest level of inspection/verbal reporting and said that anything further would be a waste of my money. These guys are HONEST and very reasonable. WIll not hesitate to call them if I ever experience any issues with the system.
