"Housekeepers present at this property reported they were not aware of being responsible of causing a faucet not to move after they cleaned it. It is our policy to let the client know on the spot if we accidentally brake something, and ask the homeowner what procedure they want to take. The housekeepers also reported that it was a challenge to finish the cleaning with the homeowner constantly on their back while they were there. The homeowner called us about a week after the cleaning, claiming something was wrong with her faucet after it was cleaned. Out of courtesy, and without asking questions regarding the age of the faucet or its condition, we sent a professional who has more than 20 years of plumbing experience to fix the problem. He found the spray hose stuck and twisted underneath the sink and fixed it free of charge. He also reported that it was very challenging to work with the homeowner on his back trying to tell him what to do. After the repair we called the homeowner to follow up, but she said she had no time to talk and hanged up. The homeowner later called to claim there was a leaking. We tried to work with her and offered to send the plumber a second time, but the homeowner said that she was going to take care of it and hanged up. Three weeks later the homeowner called again, claiming she had hired a plumber and wanted us to pay for the bill. This was not a mutual agreement, the homeowner made this decision on her own, so we feel she is responsible to cover the expense. It is also worth mentioning that this was a very old home lacking even the basic upgrades, so chances are this may have been a preexisting problem. We are very sorry that the homeowner is overlooking our efforts of trying to work with her since the beginning but at the same time we feel at peace knowing we tried our best in the practice of our conflict resolution model."
