Housecleaning Cathy

This was a huge mistake. We gave her money in good faith to purchase cleaning supplies and get started. She gave us a hand written receipt stating "balance due at job completion". We had already moved 30 miles away, my wife is ill and cannot drive, and I usually work 2 hours away. My days are 12 to 14 hours long, so getting back to Modesto to give her a key was difficult. We made arrangements for the apartment manager to give her a key so she could begin cleaning (she charges $12 an hour, so legally we were entitle to at least 3 hours of her labor). She constantly called and harrassed my wife for payment in full BEFORE she did ANYTHING! Hello???? Is there anybody in there??? When I called her to tell her we would NOT be using her services (since she had been so RUDE to my wife, who is ill) she HUNG UP ON ME! I promptly called her back, of course got her voice mail, and told her she needs to return my money and return the key she was given back to the apartment manager. This woman is a psycho, a liar, and since she demanded payment in CASH, I am sure she is not licensed or bonded and no doubt is NOT claiming her income to the IRS. Rest assured, she has not heard the last of me. I will be contacting the IRS, the BBB and the Modesto Police Department.
