California law says that a renter leaving a property is to get a detailed and itemized list of repairs/fees along with a check for the remainder of the deposit within 21 days of vacating the property. 21 days came and went and all we received was an overall bill for cleaning of kitchen, bathrooms, carpets and repairs to blinds and some conduit and no check. When contacted the company said that a detailed bill would be issued with the check. This never materialized. In later communications we (the renters) decided that $1000 of our deposit should be returned rather than the entire $1500 because the carpet cleaning and some rent payment issue were previously agreed upon by all parties. The property management company is in the wrong, broke the law and has since rescinded the blinds and some of the cleaning fee. I would not use this company in any way, shape or form. They are dishonest and blatantly brake the law.
