WESTCHESTER CARPETS

We have been using them for 15-20 years. They come about every 6 months and clean my carpet and sofa. They are obviously good since I have been using them for years.

From beginning to end, my experience with Westchester Carpets has been excellent. It began with Brian Ulrich who was in the showroom. He was exceedingly helpful there and also when he came to my home and gave me detailed information as to how the installation would go and what I would need to do to make it successful on my end.

He encouraged me to purchase the carpet at the time because prices might go up again. I did so even though it would be a long time until it could be installed. He offered to keep it in the warehouse until needed. Quite a service, I thought.

This was almost an entire home re-carpet job so the job was huge and labor intensive. It could have taken days but Brian was able to put two crews of two on the job and it only took a bit over 1 1/2 days. The carpet layers, Geronimo, Richard, George and Paco, did a very professional job and were thouroughly delightful as they worked.

I would highly recommend Westchester Carpet if you are looking for great service and a quality experience.

We have been dealing with Westchester Carpets since 1999...with Alfred since our huge Manhattan Beach project. We have also used Westchester Carpets for our rental properties. They are very competitively priced, they always deliver as quoted and we get Alfred's personal touch. He never steers us wrong. And if there is an installation challenge he is on top of it. The carpet is always quality. He measures accurately...and does not sell me more than I need. The trust factor is the "best part " of Alfred's service. We have had probably 6 jobs in all over the years...all have gone well. Never an unsolved problem.

The work crew that arrived was not the one we expected. We were promised a specific installer, not the one the one that showed up. Initial work work seemed ok, but it soon (first day) became apparent they were not installing the floor we thought we ordered. We asked them to stop until we found out what was going wrong, but they seemed to ignore us. They finished the installation (ignoring our requests) with only vague promises of fixing the problem later. Now we have a floor we don't like and seem to be stuck with it. In addition, the workmanship was marginal. The walls were broken in places in the living room and in the stairwell. Many of the baseboards are not cut and installed properly and there are gaps and gouges in several spots. We are definitely not happy campers.

Installation was not done well. Edge lines visible and carpet was not cut straight.

The overall experience was positive. There was a large selection of carpets (remnants and otherwise)and floor coverings. They let me roam around the warehouse and take my time looking. The prices were very good, especially compared to buying a brand new carpet. The turnaround time to have the rug bound and delivered was about 10 days.

I'VE USED THEM BEFORE SO I'M HAPPY WITH THEM. I HAD THEM TWO YEARS AGO, TOO. THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB. I LIKE THE WORKERS, OR I WOULDN'T HAVE GONE BACK TO THEM.

WESTCHESTER CARPETS HAS AN EXTENSIVE SELECTION OF CARPETS FROM WHICH TO CHOOSE. THEIR PRICING IS FAIR AND NEGOTIABLE. THEIR ABILITY TO LOCATE THE CARPET AND EXPEDITE ITS DELIVERY WAS VERY GOOD. THEY ARRIVED WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD AND THE QUALITY OF THE INSTALLATION WAS JUST FINE. OVERALL GOOD EXPERIENCE.
