They are fantastic. It went perfectly. Eric is the owner and it’s only him and some other guys and they are fantastic. I’ve been using them for 10 years. He won’t charge you unless something is wrong and he is fair on his prices. He is trustworthy. I just drop off my car and pick it up whenever it’s ready.

They were fine. I think the owner was fair with us. We had to take the car back a couple times to get it working properly.

I wasn't sure if my whole transmission was failing, but Louis and Eric quickly diagnosed the problem as a failing/failed solenoid switch. They promptly fixed it and the car is running great. I was able to drop my car off at night after they were closed and drop my keys through their mail slot which was a great help.

I noticed a very bad transmission fluid leak in my 2001 Isuzu Rodeo as it sat outside my house. Drove to my mechanic who looked at the problem and recommended I not drive it but have it transported to Torrance Transmission, the business that they, themselves use for such problems. My mechanics, Jand D, in Manhattan Beach, are a family-owned and operated business whom I trust implicitly.
On arrival at Torrance, Transmission, the service tech listened to my tale and suggested the problem was a relatively common one for the Isuzus and told me what the fix was and gave me an approximate cost.
The car was ready earlier than he'd estimated and the cost was a bit less than the estimate.

I selected Torrance Transmission due to reviews on Angie's List, but in particular I had read a previous favorable review regarding an Isuzu Rodeo, the same make / model I had serviced. My wife had complained of transmission problems with our 1999 vehicle, but when I drove the car I couldn't detect anything wrong. I decided to get it checked out anyway, and I took the car to Torrance Transmission. Eric greeted me and quoted a nominal price for inspection (final price to be determined by what problems he found). That same day he called me and told me that the car was ready. He had not found anything wrong either (I was impressed with his honesty), and simply flushed the unit and gave it a standard inspection and service. We got the car back the same day

It was not "next door" but quite a distance. I called Eric, who said they were very busy but to have it dropped off and they'd check it out the next day. He suspected the cause and said it was a pretty quick fix.
I accompanied the tow truck driver and went in to do the paperwork, Was met with a handshake and the usual estimate.
The next afternoon Eric called (sometimes businesses just don't call YOU and you have to call them) to say the work was done. The estimate was $150. The final bill was $159 and change.
Eric remembered my name when I arrived and another handshake and some conversation and I was done, well-satisfied and would recommend them to anyone.
My wife's mechanic has been in business since the 1960s at the same location and knows the best people to do the best work.
