On the first visit, an employee came out and added "Stop Leak" into the spa. However, this didn't stop the leak. So I called the company back and Mike (the owner) came out himself and found the jet that was leaking and plugged it up. Now the spa is no longer leaking. I really appreciated the fact that Mike didn't charge anything for his visit.

The spa would throw the breaker on high, several jets were missing that I was unable to repair myself, the spa was losing water and the speakers wouldn't stay down properly. Mike came and was able to fix ALL of it in about 2 hours.  I am very pleased!!
He gave us some good advice about keeping the spa in good condition and was nice to work with.  Definitely recommend!!

I recently moved into a home with a spa bathtub. We discovered after moving in that the tub leaked pretty significantly. I called MANY plumbers who would not even come to my house to look at the job because they don't deal with jacuzzi/spa bathtubs. Apparently the jets are a whole different problem that plumbers are not equipped to deal with.
I spoke with Mike on the phone and he diagnosed the problem after asking a handful of questions. I thought I could get the job handled through my home warranty but the company the home warranty sent to me would not touch the problem and then charged me $65 for the housecall.
I called Mike back with my tail between my legs and requested that he come. He showed up the next day and fixed the problem in less than 30 minutes. He knew exactly what to do. Turns out the problem was not at all related to the jets but rather an old seal that had lost its seal. Very easy fix. He communicated with me through the process and showed me exactly what the problem was and how he fixed it.
He also was very communicative regarding his arrival time. He has an online booking system on his website, but he called me shortly after I scheduled myself and he asked if he could come earlier in the day based on the rest of his appointments. And then he texted me when he was actually on his way. It's such a pleasure to deal with people who provide the courtesy to communicate clearly and keep customers apprised of timing.
I'd also like to mention that Mike has a geographic territory that he prefers to work in (roughly South Bay.) But when I mentioned I had called several people who wouldn't even come to look at the issue, and then the people the home warranty company sent did nothing but charged me anyway, he was kind enough to come to my home near the Santa Monica airport.

Talked to Mike before he came out, describing the problem. He told me what he thought it probably was, but that he would have to come out and look. He showed up for the diagnostic visit on time, verified his diagnosis, said he would order the part, and schedule a follow up visit to install. He called to schedule the installation once the part was in, showed up on time, and did the installation quickly and professionally. It was a real pleasure to work with Mike. Knowledgeable, professional, prompt, with reasonable prices. A hard combination to find these days ...

My hot tub mysteriously stopped working. Had worked fine the week before. Seemed to be getting power, but would not heat and jets would not come on. They were able to accommodate me by coming out to the house while I was at work. They found that an outlet in the control panel had burnt out and they were able to replace it that day.
They had done work for me before, and had done an excellent job- replacing the lens for the light and repairing the moto-massagers in a very old spa- got it working like new. These guys know their stuff!

If you're looking for a spa guy, Mike at Classic Spa Service is your guy! In talking with him, he has 40 years of spa experience and at one point, he was even in Europe for 10 years doing his spa business.
I bought a house about 1 1/2 years ago and it came with a spa. I had no idea how to maintain a spa, so I did some reading, etc. and thought I was doing okay. I felt like a chemist with all the spa chemicals. I finally decided to contact a professional when I wanted to drain it and have it cleaned since I did not know how to do that. I researched Yelp and Angie's List and came across Classic Spa Service. I got a return call from Mike, I told him what I wanted and he was ready to come over within a couple days. I was not ready in a couple days, so he told me to book an appointment online. Booking online was a simple process and I got an email confirming it. Mike called the day before just to confirm and check out what I wanted one more time.
Mike got here a little before 9 (our scheduled time). We spend 3 hours altogether for the many services I requested. He drained the spa and discovered 4 broken jets. I had no idea, but at least they are pretty inexpensive to replace. He opened up the front of the spa to check the brain, and all the technical/mechanical stuff and found my ozone was not working and probably had not in years. I did not even know what he was talking about, but he took his time and explained it to me and the benefit of the ozone. I told him the light looked cracked from when I used the spa before. It turns out, it was just a cover on the light that someone added and was not needed, so we removed that. I'm a bit particular with service people and Mike was patient and very informative. I really appreciated that and he absolutely exceeded my expectations.
All in all, he drained, cleaned, and refilled the spa. He replaced 3 jets, because he happened to have them on the truck. The 4th jet, he sent me a link of the correct one to purchase myself, he said it just snaps in. He replaced the ozone thingee. I also had him install a new LED light that changes colors because it was cool. Yeah, sometimes you just need that. He took his time to explain what chemicals I needed and why and what ones I did not need.
He was not pushy in trying to get me to replace/change things and overall, I just felt like he was an awesome guy and really knew his stuff. I highly recommend him and will definitely be having him back to maintain my spa.

I apologize to Mike I don't think I originally let him know I had an in-ground jacuzzi but let him know how big it was etc.
Mike was awesome and him and his wife came out to drain and clean our spa. He gave me a lot of tips of how to keep the spa clean and what chemicals I needed etc. He went out of his way to measure our spa as well as our cover is getting warn out. They were very professional, courteous and super friendly
He honored the price we talked about over the phone, even though he didn't realize it was an in-ground jacuzzi (yikes!)
I will be visiting his shop on PCH to get some chemicals for the spa and would definitely use Classic Spa again.

Mike from Classic Spa has made two service calls to trouble shoot and repair my spa. I was given a 2002 Tiger River Siberian spa in early November 2012 and had it set up and wired by a licensed electrician but the spa still did not work. I spoke to Rick, the owner of Harbor Spas a Tiger River/Hot Springs/Jacuzzi dealer for advice and was told that Classic was their recommended service provider. Setting up an appointment couldn't have been any easier because you can do it on line from a calendar that displays available dates and times. Mike arrived on time and immediately identified the issue, improper hook-up and a short circuit, both were repaired quickly. The heater was shot and I had been shopping costs for a week or so and asked Mike what he could do for me. He said he had one on his truck and quoted me a very reasonable price for the part and installation. He replaced the heater and then asked if I had any questions regarding the spa, maintenance, equipment, etc. and proceeded to answer all of my questions in a way that made it obvious I was dealing with a qualified expert.
About 3 weeks later I noticed that there was a significant leak and water was constantly trickling out of my tub. Hot tub leaks are notoriously super expensive to repair and in some cases not worth the effort or $$. So with tremendous trepidation I scheduled a service call with Mike. He called the day of the appointment to ask if he could come early and I told him sure but I couldn't be there when he arrived but would get there as soon as possible.
When I arrived at the house Mike had been there for about 20 min and had already fixed the problem. He told me that when he arrived he was concerned that this was going to be a $2000 repair. It was then that he remembered a similar leak he had repaired 10 years ago and after confirming his suspicion he quickly repaired the leak.
The price? The cost of a service call.
Mike is not cheap, you can find a number of spa service companies whose service call prices are half of what Mike charges but the extra cost is worth it because he can fix in an hour what others may take several hours.
I will not have anyone else service my spa.. period.
