The technician arrived 20 minutes earlier which was excellent service and then checked each and everything throughly to diagnose the issue. Finally after troubleshooting everything the technician discovered bad wiring job between two outlets by the previous owner causing lights to flicker. The technician ran a new cable and then also fixed the wall where the wire was ran. Overall the service was excellent.

Through Angie's List i contacted B & M for an estimate. Within a week (the following Saturday) they were at my house to evaluate what I wanted and to begin preparing the estimate. Within a couple of days I received an email with their estimate. Their quote was a little higher than I thought it should be, but it was very detailed and I could see exactly how my money was going to be spent. In addition how they proposed doing the work was first class. I decided to have B & M do the work even though it was higher than other bids. However, before finalizing the deal I had a few questions to clarify some of the details. So I sent an email in reply to their email quote asking them to clarify a couple of points in their bid. I never heard from them again. After waiting a couple of weeks for a response to my email I gave up on them and sent them another email stating that I had to assume they did not want to do the job. Instead I had to job done by another firm in Angie's List

B&M Electric did a great job. I'd used them for a garage electrical upgrade in the past and decided to use them again. Overall we had wanted to: a) install recessed lighting in the living room, family room and study where we were currently using torchiere lamps b) add lighting and a switch to the attic c) add an exterior electrical socket for a fountain Charles came out to survey the work and promptly provided estimates for each room so we could pick and choose the work we could afford to do immediately. We chose to limit the job to the lighting upgrade in the living room and family room since they were more important to us and within our budget. On the scheduled work day Charles arrived with two of his electricians promptly to begin the job. Charles made sure the crew and and I were in agreement on where the lights would be installed as well as the switches. Charles left at that point and the crew got started. These rooms had no easy ceiling access as they are on the first floor of a two-story home. So the crew cut fairly small holes (e.g. 1" x 3") in the ceiling and wall sheetrock and painstakingly ran the new electrical lines for the recessed lights through these small holes. A couple of holes were a little larger (e.g. 4"x4"), but the crew was careful to leave the original piece of sheetrock taped into the hole to make the patchwork much easier. I was very impressed at how little patch work would be needed to fix the holes that were made during the installation. After about 6 hours some other jobs in the area had been completed so Charles had those electricians come to my home to help finish the job more quickly. So for a couple of hours there were 4 or 5 electricians working to complete the job, and it was successfully completed the same day. Overall it was a great experience. Charles and all of his team were very professional and did a great job in protecting the furniture during the installation and then cleaning up the rooms before they left for the day. I'd use them again in a heartbeat and have handed out their business cards to a couple of friends as well.

B&M acted very responsive and fixed the problem immediately. I will be using them for any future problems that I may have

The telephone respondent was fabulous. I wish I could hire her for my business. Much of a business's success is related to how the telephone is answered. She was able to make me feel that I had contacted the right company to handle an electrical problem that required troubleshooting skill (not always easy). The servicemen that came and did the job did not waste time, diagnosed the problem and fixed it....right. I would highly recommend this company again...without hesitation.

I'd been trying to get a garage electrical upgrade completed for a couple of years. However, the electricians I was finding provided estimates that were either way too high, never followed up with an estimate or didn't even show up for the estimate meeting. Charles of B&M Electric was prompt for our estimate meeting. He was courteous and quickly obtained the primary information on the job. We talked about options including routing the wiring to the subpanel through the home or through the lawn (given that the main electrical panel was on the opposite side of the home). It was decided the lawn was the easiest route. He pointed out that he would be happy to do the trenching through the lawn, but that it would be much cheaper for me to have someone else perform that work as he would have to pay an electrician's rate. I felt his honestly and help at keeping the cost down was refreshing. At my request he agreed to pull the permit with the city and get the work inspected. Other electricians didn't want to deal with the permitting process. Charles emailed his estimate to me in PDF format that evening (impressive). The estimate was exactly in the price range I expected and was much, much lower than the other estimates I'd received. B&M was to perform the work at the first of the week which allowed me to complete the trenching during the previous weekend. Charles stopped by unexpectedly during that weekend to check out the route through the lawn before he went to pick up the materials for the job (and likely to make sure the trenching was getting done as required before his crew arrived on Monday). Due to that visit we talked and decided that curving the trench would make running the lines much easier and would also save me a bit of time in trenching as well. This thoroughness to make sure everything was ready for the job's start caught my attention. The job was scheduled to take 1 1/2 days and the two-man crew finished as scheduled. They arrived on time each day, were friendly and courteous and picked up the debris from the job as they left each day. I worked from home during the job which was helpful since the crew asked my preference on routing the circuits and location of the light fixtures on a couple of occasions. Overall my experience with B&M was fantastic and I'd use them again in a heartbeat. I even requested business cards that I could pass out to friends that might need electrical work.

Called company and left message of my problem. All workers were out at the time but one came over within the hour. He said he usually just gives estimates on first arrival but decided to complete the job. He was friendly and very knowledgeable. He did quick but efficient work. He did not know his company was on Angie's List. My actual bill was $241 but I was given a $75 discount. My bill was emailed to me so I do not know why I was given the discount. I would recommend this company to everyone in the Torrance area.

I use B & M Electric all the time. They can be busy and a bit expensive but their work says it all. They have always been very professional and courteous with me and with other people I know.

WE ARE PLEASED WITH THE ELECTRICIANS. THEY WERE ON TIME AND ACCOMMODATING TO WHERE WE WANTED OUR OUTLETS TO BE . THEY ALSO HOOKED OUR CEILING FANS UP ALONG WITH RECESSED LIGHTING.
