I have a 4plus year old FHA loan and have been considering refinancing to get rid of the PMI (mortgage insurance), since I have accumulated a considerable equity in my home.  Luckily, I found Athena, who specializes in FHA loans.  After a FREE consultation, and careful consideration of my current home loan, Athena advised me NOT to refinance. Ultimately, refinancing, even without the PMI, would result in a less favorable amount of my payment being applied to the principal of the loan. Also, since my loan was issued prior to a change in the PMI regulations, if I wait a year, I will be able to have the PMI discontinued.  I'm so glad I can just recycle all the junk mail regarding refinancing now, without a thought!!

Athena was very professional, helpful and pleasant to work with. Home loans can be so stressful, but she has a style that puts you at ease.  She knows her stuff!!!!   I would recommend her to anyone that needs mortgage services.

You are better off texting her or sending an email to her. She is always on the phone on hold with one lender or another she needs an answer from  and it is easier for her to respond. She comes in later than most lenders do so she is in the office much much later than most lenders which means that you have a much better chance of getting a response from her after 5 pm. and you do not have to do it while you are at work.
Athena is very detail orientated about locking the rates for her clients also because she watches the market and has a sense of what is going to happen.
