I had these guys do some duct work for me back in August '12. I'm just getting around to writing reviews of all the vendors/contractors that have done work for me.
So my house used to be a grow house. For those of you that don't know what that is, it's a house used to grow weed. My house is a two-story and has central air and heat. There are 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs and a living room and a kitchen down stairs (there is also a 1/2 bath, but there's no vent in this one). Every room and bathroom upstairs and the living room and kitchen all have their own vents for the HVAC system. But when I bought this house in July of '12 I discovered quite easily and through the house inspection as well, that two of the rooms upstairs had an extra vent. The HVAC system had been modified to reroute all the existing vents away from the other rooms/bathrooms to those back two rooms to facilitate a favorable climate for the cultivation of weed. All the other rooms/bathrooms not rerouted were shut off.
Needless to say, unless I was going to continue w/the entrepreneurial business of pot growing, I needed to get this resolved. My realtor suggested Air Works as he had worked w/them before so they came out and gave me a quote. Because this was all new to me, I went w/my realtor's recommendation and didn't get any more quotes. Besides the duct work, they also did some routine maintenance. They did a great job. During the work, it turned out something with the condensation mechanism wasn't working so they replaced it on the fly and gave it to me at cost - no extra labor. 3 years later, everything this still working. Would highly recommend.
