"Thank you. If you need further assistance will be glad to serve you."

There was a installation issue which I brought to his attention and he did the correction.
It was a great experience dealing with Nick
The regulatory process with the city was not well managed by the owner but was eventually rectified w the proper info supplied to city.
The installation process was a mess as the owner seemed to be challenged to install this appropriately.
I had to hire another AC guy to make this machine work. At this point, I learned that I was sold a unit that was inappropriate for my home and was grossly inefficient.
"Thank you. I am glad that you appreciated the work we performed at your place We look forward to have a steady business relation in near future."

-After looking at our poorly functioning AC units Nick recommended that we replace both of them. He sent us an estimate/contract to install two 3.5 ton Goodman units.
-After we signed and gave him a $3800 deposit, Nick called the day before the install to say that the manufacturer did not have any more of those units and that we would need to upgrade for another $1000. Sounded weird, but we agreed-just wanting this job to get done.
-When Nick installed both units, paranoid and untrusting of his tactics thus far, I looked up the units to see if they were in fact an upgrade. The units were actually 3 ton units and not 3.5 ton as stated on the contract. Later Nick explained that the upgrade was in the Seer number (which is a number he had never mentioned or stated in the contract - at that point I had never even heard of seer rating)
-We turned on the newly installed machines and one unit cooled identically to the "broken" one-which questioned if we even needed to replace that unit. That AC unit is completely undersized and cannot cool the building lower that 80 degrees. Completely useless.
-The other unit is able to cool the building a bit more, but doesn't function as well as the one that was replaced. Not sure why.
-Nick had so many discrepancies and flat out lies that I discovered when looking more into the issues.
-His professional advice was completely useless as we ended up with two undersized machines.
-His poor communication skills resulted in us receiving smaller units than what we believed we were getting. I even asked him to be more specific on the contract, which he ignored and left the contract as is. That would have been a perfect opportunity to bring up Seers both in writing and in conversation.
I would never trust Nick to work on anything. I'm not sure if he is intentionally misleading his customers or if his communication skills are just horrible, but either way I didn't get what I wanted which in this case is two functioning AC units. I feel like I got totally screwed.
This job went so horribly wrong and we were left with poor or non functioning AC units. Because of this we did not pay the rest of the balance and opted to hire another company to try and fix the mess that Nick made. I am happy to pay a company for new AC units, but how can I pay for non functioning units that were smaller that what we agreed to? Overall, I would not recommend Nick for any big jobs.
I originally called them for heating and AC work and when I was complaining of the difficulty hiring an electrician, Nick informed me he was also an electrical contractor. I am glad I found them. I tried two other electricians rated highly on Angie's List, one of them didn't even show or call for our appointment, the other had no idea what he was talking about and told me it would cost upwards of 21K for what AAA Express did for12K. I highly recommend AAA Express.

So here is the breakdown:
$97.50 for the compressor.
$191.25 for the labor.
Don't let the $85/hr they charged for labor scare you. Here is why. Every other company charged $99 just to come out. Out of the 3 other companies I called 1 did not apply that towards the cost of the job, 1 did only if it was over $300 and the last one did apply the $99 towards the cost of repairs. None of those companies could come out within 3 hours or same day for that matter. It is now 100 degrees in Gardena, Ca and I have a pregnant wife, 2 dogs, and a kitten. We needed the AC fixed today.
The average cost of labor for the other 3 companies was $79/hr so an extra $6 was a no brainer. AAA Express didn't charge any BS same day service fees and they really could have...business is booming for everyone during this heat wave. I don't know what compressors cost, but I also don't know how to replace them myself so I am not concerned with that.
I would use these guys again. In fact I plan on calling them back up in April to do my yearly check up. They do electrical too! I know it has been less than an hour so I will up[date my review in 1 week and in a month. I will also update it in the spring when we'll have to start using the AC again to see how long the work lasts.
Thank you AAA Express!
On time and repaired fast. Decent price for repair. Would use again
Nick knows his stuff, comes out quickly at the time he says he will be here. He then always goes the extra mile to suggest to me the best solution given price/value. In this particular case it would have cost $2500 to replace the whole heating unit. Nick investigated and said he could replace the motor and temperature unit and I should still get at least 3-4 years out of the unit.
I said great Nick, let's do that. He promptly began research to find the needed parts after coming to my house to investigate my unit. He said it would take 3-4 days.
Only a day later he called to say he found the part and can come install it if it is convenient for me. He came promptly at the time promised and replaced all needed parts and checked out the entire unit.
After all of that I was surprised to learn that his final bill was $150 less than his original quote. Wow! Thanks for the honesty!
Top notch repair and service. Will continue to use him for all of my needs. Highly recommended
