After some false starts involving late arrival of team members and changes in the team we finally got Ray the CEO to take charge of the job and put a larger team on it -- after that everything went smoothly, with all of the equipment moved, reinstalled and checked. Accepted they may have underpriced the job originally but Ray and his team followed through and did what was needed.
I would strongly recommend A-1 for your most complex plumbing jobs
I was referred to A-1 Total Service Plumbing and he gave me a quote over the phone. I went with him after looking at reviews on "Yelp" since the only review on this site was rated "F". This contractor was referred to me through a friend.
They came out the next day and did what they were supposed to do.
During the cleaning, an old shower-head cracked so they replaced it with a new one. After the replacement, the renter noticed a problem with a slow water flow from the shower head so they came out again the next day and fixed it, no extra charge.
Talked with Raymond and he was very professional and made sure everything was done as requested and that I was happy. The bill received was for the amount I was quoted over the phone. There were also recommendations for future projects which I am happy to do since the condo is very old and I am not there to personally see the wear and tear of renters.

"We do provide free estimates! However customers have to understand the difference between exploratory and a free estimate . We When we arrive and you ask how much to fix a leak it is not always that simple. At times leaks are hidden in walls or under a home and the service provider has to make a hole or crawl under the house. This is no longer free and we give you a price up front . The case with this customer was a leak around a tub we scrape away, clean and prep the area before the calking could be be applied I'm sorry if the customer was not happy and would have been better for the customer to call and discuss the matter before leaving a review"
