Elliott Construction ? Highly Recommended!!!

Greetings from your neighbor, Doug G., resident of the Lower Riviera in Redondo Beach, CA since 1998. I have seen many requests for a builder / contractor, and I just want to present my recommendation for an incredible builder who services the South Bay region of Los Angeles - Robert Elliott of Elliott Construction!
We had lucked out in purchasing our 1949 custom home, but it was a diamond in the rough ? Translation ? it needed a lot of help?and so the process began....
After moving in with new paint, a very few years passed until we could afford a new forced air heating and air conditioning system - this was necessary because with the existing forced air furnace, NO AIR passed through any of the home?s forced air ducting! We replaced the windows for 2 bedrooms, living and dining windows, since it got kind of old seeing and wiping up the rain blowing in during storms!
And then, just 5 years ago we started the design process of a new kitchen ? truly the worst room of the
house. You know the story, sagging floor and ceiling, only 2 small ceiling lights from the 40's, and wall push-buttons for the electric stove, with only 1 out of 4 burners that 'kind of worked!'
Our first 'mis-encounter:' After suffering through 5 design meetings at a ?then-popular home design outlet,? no longer in business, we discovered they didn?t get it, and never would get it, even after a site visit to our home with their designated best builder... So...We ran away from that engagement as fast as we could ? fortunately before we started the remodel project - and also fortunately, because this was just before they closed their doors and business!
Through our good friend at Fred?s Carpets in Torrance, we were introduced to a great architect in RB ? Dieter Thomas, and after he drew premium plans of our home with design possibilities, he introduced us to Robert Elliott of Elliott Construction,
based in Torrance, and servicing building projects all around the South Bay and Palos Verdes Peninsula. Experienced and extremely knowledgeable in construction and engineering, not to mention a fine wood craftsman, Robert created a "real diamond out of an eye-sore" in our home, by helping us solidify our design ideas with cabinets, layout and applicances, and knowing exactly what to do to fix our home?s ?engineering failures and sagging' over time.?(of course, after 60 years I would tend to sag as well!)
By the time the kitchen was almost finished, we had also green-lit the downstairs family room, bathroom and guest room re-model. What a joy it is now to walk around and really enjoy our home! Robert is simply amazing!
Robert?s Team of Pros is unbelievably gifted in remodeling or new construction. Budget and time schedules were strictly adhered to and followed. We elected to stay in the home during the 4-5 month project, and it all worked exceptionally well. Robert?s team is all about efficiency, reliability and even daily cleanup. Dust was never a factor or concern. His work area was so well buttoned up with plastic and securely covered, the dust had no way to escape!
After all of the horror stories we had heard for years about remodeling and building, not to mention contractor nightmares, we have to say, those experiences are still merely foreign to us.
