Don't you ever, under any circumstances, hire Andy Monica and
his affiliates to do work in your house. I hired him to do extensive remodeling
work in my own house and it was one of the worst decisions I ever made. In
short, having Mr. Monica and his men around was a long, painful nightmare. First
of all, everything needed to be done two, three, four times to get it right
because the workers kept making mistakes and Mr. Monica was hardly ever around
to supervise them. When he was, he was more confused and incapable than his
employees. Second, there were two break-ins during the renovation, and the
police and I concluded that both break-ins where tied to the construction work.
In both cases there were no signs of forced entry. One day I returned home from
a two-day trip to find that my master suite had been ransacked and all my
valuables (jewelry and other items) stolen. I found the door from the laundry
room to the outside unlocked, and the police concluded that someone from the
inside unlocked that door during the day to let their thieves friends in. And
warned them of my absence. Two days later someone walked into my kitchen in the
middle of the night, while I was asleep.
Luckily I have dogs to protect me. My faithful furry friends sprang up
from their beds barking like crazy and scared the thief off. I locked myself in
a bathroom and called 911. Whoever broke in that night knew the combination to
the kitchen lock, which is how the workers had access to the house when I was
not there to open the door for them. I am still scared to death to sleep in
that house. And by the way, I have in lived in the same house for close to
seven years and nothing ever happened until I hired Mr. Monica to remodel it. Third,
in the middle of the construction Mr. Monica decided to go on vacation for two
weeks, leaving me in an inhabitable house.
While he was lounging on a Hawaiian beach, I tried to communicate with
his employees to keep the work going. One of them must have told Mr. Monica
that I was sending emails to the office. This is the text Mr. Monica sent me
from Hawaii.
?I am on vacation. I don?t want to hear another word from
you. I will deal with you when I get back. Don?t f****** email my staff
anymore. I am done with your b*******.?
I believe that this text speaks for itself. I have it on my iPhone.
Someone who can?t do anything right the first time around,
whose men are in cohort with thieves, and who sends this kind of messages to
his clients should not be in the contractor business or any type of business. Don?t
make the same mistake I made. Hire someone else. There are lots of good, honest
contractors out there who are honest, take pride in their work, and have manners. Sadly, Mr.
Monica is not one of them.
