We later purchased the countertop somewhere else for a total cost of about $5,055.
"I did make a mistake on the original proposal, and I sincerely apologize for that. When you showed up, I was reviewing the quote and noticed the error.I am embarrassed about it, to say the least. As far as pricing goes, some materials are more expensive than others, we can't control that. Some companies will be less expensive, but not all of the work is apples to apples. I am truly sorry that this happened and I apologize for your negative experience."
I did not seek out other quotes from other contractors as I did not have time to manage that process. I counted on the positive reviews about their work on this website. Millestone did not let me down. Everyone that was involved, from measurement to demolition to installation, was very professional and did very high quality work.
I had to buy two slabs for the job, but I do have some left over. I will engage Millestone again soon to fabricate tops for vanities in two bathrooms. They did such a great job I will definitely use them again.
Also, I bought my new kitchen sink through them. Great sink at a great price.
