Els Gardening Service has turned my front lawn into an incredibly beautiful desert scape. I’m writing this to strongly recommend this outstanding company to anyone who plans to do the same as did I. I’m absolutely delighted with the job that these fine young men did for me. They carefully planned the project, provided a detailed drawing showing what it would look like upon completion and gave me an itemized estimate of cost. The contract was fair and was executed exactly to the plan. But, that’s what one should expect from a reputable contractor and Els is not simply a gardening company. The owners, indeed, are licensed contractors. What most impressed me with Els was the enthusiasm, professionalism, and painstaking attention to detail with which El’s did the work. It was obvious to me that they take their work seriously and enjoy it. The work was, at all times, overseen by the Els brothers so that everything would be done exactly as promised. And it was without exception. All materials – boulders, plants, and cover gravel -- were handpicked by Els to ensure that I was getting top quality materials. The work was started on time and finished on time. At all times I was treated with courtesy and respect. All of my questions as work proceeded were fully explained. The finished product is a true work of art. I am receiving many compliments on the project. I’ll be remaking the landscaping of my back yard next year and I’ve already asked Els to take care of that for me, too. If you are considering replacing your yard with something different, I sincerely recommend Els Gardening Service to you. I don’t believe you will find a better company in the Coachella Valley with which to work.

I contacted El's Gardening Service from Angie's List for estimates on a sprinkler system tune-up and weekly maintenance.  Miguel came over and gave me an estimate on weekly landscape maintenance, but said he needed to check the price of a part before he could give me a price on the tune-up.  So, I wondered at the time, what kind of part might that have been for a simple sprinkler system that he would not know offhand?  In any case, he said he'd call me back with the estimate within a day after checking on that price.  He didn't.  I waited a full week for the call, which never came.  I called Miguel again today.  He did not seem to remember having promised to call. but said he'd call me back in an hour.  It's been another entire day and, again, no call.  So, I can only surmise that :  (1)  El's doesn't want to do the work; or, (2)  Miguel is a liar.  Probably both.  In  either case it's fairly obvious in my opinion that El's is not to be trusted.  BTW, this is the second time I've gotten the run-around from a company on Angie's list. A third time I was gouged by an Angie's list supplier.  So, I'm beginning to lose faith in Angie's List for allowing companies such as El's and the other two to be a part of their system.  Inexcusable.

El's replaced the front yard turf and planter areas with high end rock I selected from Southwest Boulder. They also trimmed the trees, removed shrubs, replanted new plants I provided, and repaired/replaced the irrigation as needed. In the back yard they put down sod, did tree trimming, and again repaired/replaced irrigation. Very happy with the job. Price was fair, and work was completed as promised. I would definitely recommend and use El's again.

Did not deliver the quality of service they assured us we would get during our initial meeting.  We arranged a meeting time with them to discuss our expectations.    Work was done to the minimun of what they stated they would do. .   Not treated as if they really cared about our satisfaction.  Not very good clean up service provided of the garden area.

I was having numerous water leaks - Valves, irrigation pipes, bubblers, etc.  Emmanuel and his assistant showed up promptly, assessed the problems and completed the work in 2 days.  He was very knowledgeable and professional and I have already  recommended him to my friends & neighbors.  It was an extensive job and I feel the cost of service was very fair.  I will definitely use his services again.

Removed existing bushes, shrubs and three trees along three of our walls and replaced them with ficus trees that will create a privacy hedge.  In addition they ran a new irrigation system that includes a line to each of the 69 ficus trees planted.  They stuck to their price quote, stuck to their estimated time-line (3-day job) even after being surprised by two huge underground trunk/root systems to dig out that wasn't anticipated and as a result brought on an extra worker on day three (five of them here that day).  Emmanuel, Miguel and their team were all fantastic and a joy to have on the job. We'll be calling them again for all of our projects.

Emmanuel showed up with his assistant. They quickly determined the problems and replaced the valve and fixed the broken connection.

Emmanuel was very efficient and friendly. We will be using him soon to re landscape our yard.
