Needed my condo remodeled in Palm Springs in June of 2016, I was looking for anyone that would just call me back and be on time when My brother told me about Jim Willis and Cherokee Builders. So I called and was responded to very fast. I'm a very picky person and hard to deal with at times, but Jim made me feel as if I was family and friend. I needed my condo remodeled within a month and new it would be pushing it. After all I needed a new condo basically. It was a complete gut and redo! Jim made me feel relaxed and was very reassuring that things would be on time. All was going well and then I decided to make many changes to the original plans. I new this would slow things down a lot, but to my surprise Jim and his company was able to keep up with all of my changes and the Job was done on time. I love y new condo and would highly recommend Cherokee Builders to anyone. Also I liked the fact that they are insured for two million as many contractors only carry a minimum bond of $15,000.

We met Jim Willis and saw first hand the scope and quality of Cherokee Builders (CB) while we were looking at a property CB had completely remodeled.  We didn't buy  the property because the basic floor plan and square footage didn't work for us.  We asked Jim for his business card assuming any property we found would need CB.  And of course, it did. CB helped us right from the beginning by being our 2nd opinion to review a 56 page home inspection report. Jim reviewed the report and identified for us the "real" priority issues.  He came us with cost effective workable solutions to each identified issue and set about completing each items as promised. Just prior to moving in, we met with Jim and reviewed the changes we wanted to make to our new home. He came up with great (and within budget) ideas and laid out a reasonable time frame for completion.
Due to the scope of the work we wanted done, we planned to be out of the house while the work was done.  That plan didn't work and so we decided to have the work done, while we lived in the house.  Jim guaranteed the work would be done as quickly as possible,  while considering our privacy and work schedule.He kept his word.  He and his crew were very mindful of our personal space including the well-being and protection of our 13 year old cat.
We are completely satisfied with all the work Jim and the CB builder crew did for us.  They stayed within budget and with one exception the promised time frame. The one time frame exception occurred when our flooring supplier shorted us on our flooring order. Jim dealt with the supplier and got everything worked out.  The whole crew was professional, courteous and friendly.  They took great care to take care of our house, the project and our belongings making sure on a daily basis they left our house tidy and secure.
We have referred Jim and CB to other family and friends and all have been delighted.  We look forward to working with Jim and CB Builders on Phase 2 of our home improvement plan.  This will include a bathroom re-model and exterior painting of our house.
