Scott Mineo Paint & Wallcovering

We requested Scott and his company to do a small scope wallpaper installation at our home remodel. He responded immediately and was able to come do the install within a tight turn-around. He is a clear communicator, very reasonable (in terms of timeline and cost), and most importantly a skilled painter / wallpaper / wallcovering installer. He went above and beyond and I would absolutely recommend him. I would give 6 stars if I could! (Also, I'm an Architect with my own Architecture practice, so I am particular about craftsmanship and am perhaps too honed in on the details...so my full-fledged endorsement of Scott and his company should be a clear indicator of his skill and professionalism.

Arrived on time, work was performed in a timely manner.

My wife and I were very satisfied with the work performed by Scott Mineo and his two assistants.
Scott was available within a few days of our initial phone call. He wrote up an estimate and explained to us the process involved with the scope of work. Our home is about 10 years old and is over 4,500 square feet. In our opinion, the original owner and the developer of our home cut a lot of corners, causing us to encounter several complications with regard to maintenance, as a result.
Scott has a really good eye for catching things that we weren't originally planning on having to deal with, and pointing these issues out to us and giving us options/recommendations for going forward.
The job took about 3 days. Scott and his assistants were at our house at 8 AM everyday and worked consistently through. The quality of the paint job came out really well. I selected for them to use the higher quality grades of Dunn Edwards and Benjamin Moore paints for our job (We provided the paint).
There were a few "extras" outside the scope of work that Scott also helped us out with.
We have always utilized licensed/bonded providers for our home painting. Some of these other service providers, were all over the place with regard to showing up, staying within the scope of work and even tacking on charges at the very end without letting us know along the way.
If you live around the Thousand Oaks/Simi Valley/Ventura area, I would recommend Scott Mineo Paint & Wallcovering for all of your home painting needs. They will get the job done effectively and done right!

He was very punctual, and got off to a good start. However, as the week wore by the quality of the paint job and dry wall work deteriorated. I had to insist that he redo a lot of things. There were thin spots in the paint, rough and poorly painted surfaces.  We were both frustrated.  If you have a rental apartment and want quick work, without too much attention to detail,  Scott is perfect.  He's on time, and very focused on finishing and moving on.  That's not so good where detail and quality is important.

SCOTT IS PROFESSIONAL, PROMPT AND DOES QUALITY WORK. I HAVE REFERRED SCOTT BEFORE AND HIS WORK IS ALWAYS WELL RECEIVED.
