WARNING! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN!

Overall experience was a disaster.  I tried to tell the full story in the "Services Performed" section.  I won't repeat it here.  Eric Hansen .. or mayber Hanson, is the current owner of RC Electronics in Thousand Oaks, CA.  He alleges to be able to fix electronic components including TV's.  I found the company name in the phone book.  He came to our home, removed most of the interior electronic components from inside our 65" TV set, said he had to take them to his shop for repair and wanted me to pay up-front for the cost of repair parts .. a total of about $450.  He has never returned to install the allegedly repaired parts, nor will he ever return phone calls.  In my opinion, he is a total fraud, con artist.  Never ever use RC Electronics

Each time Eric came to my house he asked for money in advance to buy parts etc.  His appearance was dirty and his car filthy.  He said I had a problem with caps being blown in my amplifier and poorly wired cross overs in my speakers.  Initially, when he brought the parts back they worked okay for a short time, but the problems would reappear.  On his last visit he needed to complete some wiring and said he would come back that evening to finish the job, but asked for $130 essentially to do work that he had already done (okay, I'm an idiot).  That's the last I saw of him.  I made numerous phone calls to the number above and left lots of messages, but they were never heard from him again.

I eventually asked a friend who is an electrical engineer and audio hobbyist to look at the equipment (I don't like to take advantage of friends).  He determined that the speaker appeared to be intentionally shorted using a hex wrench and that it appeared no work at all had been done on the amp.  He did say I had a couple of fuses blown and he replaced those, the cause of which could be water or foreign material in an outdoor volume control used for my patio speakers.  

Upon further investigation I found several other consumer complaints about RC and Eric describing the exact same kind of behavior I discussed above, e.g. taking equipment and money and never returning calls.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND THIS MAN, HE IS A CROOK!
