He was very professional. I gave them a phone call, left a message, and they called me back a few days later and scheduled. The gentleman gave a very thorough presentation and I was impressed by that. The consultation was free. The price came out very similar to the others so it is about average.

as the job started 12/2/13 and ended 2/1/14.  Other than a week break at Christmas, the crews were there daily.  sometimes there were as many a 5 people.  The owner worked along side his crews and was always directing and watching the actual work.  You could tell he had a crew that he has had for some time.  Communication was very good.  He kept up abreast of the work as it was going along and when he ran up against a issue it was resolved quickly with us.  They worked very meticutiously and when an additional item occurred that may cost more, we discussed the most reasonable cost effective way of getting it done.  During the contract negotiation, we discussed what could occur that could cause the bill to go higher.  One item was the skimmer may get cracked as they had to remove the old concrete.  It did occur but also the original installation contributed to it.  His cost to replace the skimmer was very reasonable.  We used them to do the pavers because their price as competitive with Paver Systems and I felt that it would be better coordinated with all other steps of the job.
His wife was the administrator and would show up at the site to see if we had any concerns or questions.  They had many suggestions on colors of tiles and tons of sample to chose( which were included in the price).  The contract was very detail with several line items each priced separately.  They agreed to get their suppliers to provide a signed release of liens to show all material was paid and this was all done during the job and also before our final payment was made.
Payment schedule was very reasonable and tied to completion of different steps of the job.  The final job looked beautiful.
The only items that was on the downside was the practice of where they would discard paving stone and tile cutting water.  They put it behind plants in the back yard.  Also the residual of the new pool plaster was discarded behind plants in the back yard.  They also did not do a good job in the final clean up.  I had to remove pieces of concrete refuse from around the pool after the job was complete. I discussed this with the owner and his wife because I indicated that the lime in the paving stone could effect the plants.  I should have made sure that this would not occur by putting it in the contract.  They followed their contract to a T.
However the final job and work was done so well that the cleanup issue should not sway your opinion from the final product.  Their quality is superb.  Just know going into the job what you expect on the issue of how the discarded materials will be handled.

Olivas pool workers showed up on the days they said they would. They did an excellent job and left the job clean and explained the process. Will definitely use them again for these types of work.

Workers were on time; the owner of the business was a family  member, and he remained on the job all the time.  They were friendly and highly competent. I recommended them to a friend, and she was highly impressed with their work. She put in a spa, and they did excellent work.

They communicated very well, performed work as indicated; They were the only one of 3 we called that actually came out for the estimate. We will use them again.

On both occasions, they responded promptly with very clear written estimates. The pricing was good, but fell second by a small margin to other highly competitive local firms.

I previously used this company to replaster a swimming pool, replace the coping and tile trim, and build a wall behind the pool.  The experience was one of the best I have had with a contractor.  The job was well done;  workman  arrived on time and on schedule; work was completed ahead of promised date.  Two of our friends also engaged the company for similar work.. Both were extremely pleased.  The recaulking work was completed in a like manner.

I called for an estimate to repair some broken pool tiles. Roland arrived promptly and examined the pool. He said he'd call me with an estimate. He called a few days later and suggested replacing all the brick surrounding the pool. I said he could quote me for it, but all I really wanted to do right now was replace the broken tiles. He said he'd have a quote in a week. That was a month ago. I've called twice and asked for my quote, but he hasn't replied. I even asked him to call and let me know if he'd rather not do the job, but again, no reply. I consider this company to be highly unprofessional.
