His wife was the administrator and would show up at the site to see if we had any concerns or questions. They had many suggestions on colors of tiles and tons of sample to chose( which were included in the price). The contract was very detail with several line items each priced separately. They agreed to get their suppliers to provide a signed release of liens to show all material was paid and this was all done during the job and also before our final payment was made.
Payment schedule was very reasonable and tied to completion of different steps of the job. The final job looked beautiful.
The only items that was on the downside was the practice of where they would discard paving stone and tile cutting water. They put it behind plants in the back yard. Also the residual of the new pool plaster was discarded behind plants in the back yard. They also did not do a good job in the final clean up. I had to remove pieces of concrete refuse from around the pool after the job was complete. I discussed this with the owner and his wife because I indicated that the lime in the paving stone could effect the plants. I should have made sure that this would not occur by putting it in the contract. They followed their contract to a T.
However the final job and work was done so well that the cleanup issue should not sway your opinion from the final product. Their quality is superb. Just know going into the job what you expect on the issue of how the discarded materials will be handled.
