My experience with the local franchise and the corporate office has been completely unsatisfactory. Problem 1) they did not finish the job on time. 2) the color did not match the supplied photograph. 3) an important word was misspelled. 4) Neither the franchise or corporate office seem concerned.1) On Tuesday I brought an example of what I wanted the banner to look like and a digital copy of the file to the franchise. The owner agreed he would have the job done by COB Thursday, since I needed to take it to San Francisco Friday morning. There would be a problem of pixelation with the low resolution of the photo, which I understood and was OK with.At 4:30 pm on Thursday I called to see if the banner was ready for pickup. The owner seemed surprised and asked when I needed it. He said the earliest would be 9:30 am then next morning. I had no choice but to agree. I arrived at 9:30 am to pick up the banner but was told it had been incorrectly done the first time. They had reprinted it and now had to finish the edges to put in the top and bottom sleeves. They finally finished it about 10:15 am. 2) The image color was way off. The photograph is of a carved wood door portal. The color is a natural light tan wood tone. The banner has the color as a moss green. Since I was already late leaving for San Francisco and had made a commitment to bring the banner, I kept quiet and took the banner as is. (I had planned to leave at 8 am.)3) While the banner was on display in San Francisco someone noticed that the word Scandinavian was misspelled. Our organization has the word Scandinavian in its name so this is a significant embarrassment. 4) On the following Monday, I answered a questionnaire from FastSigns where I gave a very low rating to their service and explained the problem. I never received a followup. I have sent two additional requests for assistance from the corporate office and have not received a reply. After waiting 10 days, I took the banner back to the local franchise, showed them the problems, pointed out the job was not done on time, and asked for a refund. The owner refused to refund my money. Now he said the green color was because the photo was too low resolution. I can understand pixelation being a problem with low resolution photos but not the color.The owner did agree to have a technician do color adjustments to the photo and reprint the banner. I was given a chance to look a printed color samples before the final banner was printed. The final banner is now complete.
