I am revising my original review on February 22, 2915 due to the following reasons:
When Anthony initially landscaped the yard last year, I asked him why he was not putting down weed deterrent paper. His response, "It is no longer used." I believed him. He did spray the gravel with Spectracide which he said I could buy at Home Depot. He came back and sprayed again as the weeds were really sprouting through the gravel. To make a long story short, I have paid out not only for several types of weedkiller to include Roundup. I hired a one-time gardener to spray and pull weeds which cost me $250.00. I also had a licensed contractor come by who stated the weed deterrent paper should have been laid. I contacted Anthony Marshall today regarding this issue requesting that he place the weed deterrent paper. His response, "The roundup will work many people have many opinions." So buyer beware with this so called "landscaper."
I paid him an extra $1600 for the cleanup which was not very satisfactory. He left his trash when the job was done Instead of hauling it away. He bagged some trash, but about 20 bags of rocks and dirt also and left it for me to dispose of. He charged me for materials that should have been included. He left his personal trash on my property. He kept wanting to upsell me on future projects when the first project was not being done correctly. He would come in the morning and tell his workers what to do then disapear for the rest of the day. His answer when questioned was he is too busy to stay on site and manage his work. The concrete work was ok in the end but the 3 colors he promised me didnt really show that well, the pattern was not the one we talked about,. And detail work like cutting the concrete score lines along the pattern instead of adding extra lines were forgotten . He kept wanting to start projects I wasnt ready for instead of making sure the initial work was completed properly. He destroyed with his tractor one of my underground drains and said he would fix it but I found out later he just buried it broken. In the end I knew I had another $15000 worth of work to do but I didnt trust him to do it properly. So I never called him back. I hired Doug Halter to finish all my projects and he was professional and trustworthy.
