We called this company when our Whirlpool washer stopped draining. We were offered same day appointment which was great. The technician arrived on time, he was courteous and professional. He determined that our washer wasn't draining because drain pump needed to be replaced. He had a new pump and installed it right away. The price was reasonable and we were very happy with his service..

My dryer stopped heating, so I called this company, because I used them in the past. The technician was on time. He immediately assessed the problem with the thermostat. He had the part in his van and fixed my dryer right away. I am very happy with his service.

Repair guy came out on time, only ran one wash with only one towel and concluded the machine was perfectly fine. He performed no other inspection, collected money, and our machine is still not functioning properly. I have to call another company and pay more money in hopes that they aren't as incompetent as this company. I do not recommend their services.

Micheal arrived on time. He came into kitchen, I explained the problem that the water and ice maker were not working. He said. I can tell you it is fixed already. I didn't understand. He said to me "unlock the dispenser". I did and the ice and water machine worked. I said to him, "Oh my goodness...Wow...this is crazy...This must have been the easiest job for you". His irate response to me was that he has never had an "easy" job, told me about his college education, which was not applicable...he was mad. I said, "Are you still going to charge me for this visit? He said, "YES". It took me $60.00 dollars to get here...I totally understand that he drove to see me...I contacted this company because they marketed themselves as being in Moorpark-meaning the company was local which is the only reason why I contacted the company. I felt because he was going to charge me-I asked him about my microwave...he said...that's another $45.00 dollars. At this point his tone and attitude were not professional and I wanted him out of my house. I believe he could have said-I will not charge you the $45.00, I didn't do anything....or explained to me in a nicer manner that he drove out and he still needed to charge the service call fee, but would charge me a discounted rate less than the 45.00 dollars. What you need to know is this man was Rude, Crude, Mean and Disrespectful with his attitude towards me from the moment he walked in my door. I will never, ever, ever hire this company again....and I would encourage you to think twice before you contact American West Appliance and Repair.

Came out for service on time. Diagnosed problem and told us the ice maker needed to be replaced. Gave us accurate estimate for parts and labor and ordered part. When part arrived, called to schedule installation. Arrived on time and was completed in less than 30 minutes.

At first, I did not like the guy. He was arguing with me. He was telling me things like do not do this or that. I told him, no I need you to repair it. I don't want you to be telling me what I should be doing. He then said, there is nothing really wrong. I said there is something wrong. It is not draining. Later on, he said he found it. He ordered the part and now it works. If I had not said anything to him, he would not have done anything. Had I not insisted that he look further. The washing machine should be draining. It should not be just there. If the washer is finished, the detergent should not be there. I told him it stinks, I don't know why it stinks. Do you know what he said to me. He said leave it open. When I am not using it, I should leave it open, so it airs out. After he repaired it, it works. The price is a little high. I would use them again.

Fred arrived promptly. We have a stacked washer dryer, so he was reticent about trying to move it. But he did. He cleaned out the pipe but the problem is actually outside on the roof and he wouldn't go up there. Said we needed to call a duct company, that he would not do that. But the work he did made the dryer work much better for now.

Excellent job overall. The initial response was excellent and the technician was available quickly. The concise diagnosis was that the main pump motor on our Kitchenaid dishwasher was broken. The total estimate (parts & labor) was at the high end ($400), but Kitchenaids are a bit more expensive in general, and this one has a custom front panel, so replacement cost was over $1000. The part was ordered and obtained in a day or two. The technician was prompt and the actual replacement job took about an hour. Very satisfied.

So my complaint helped me get my money back but the response I got back from my email was absolutely rude and should be seen by others who need a repair. I will make sure others never call this company. The lady on the phone was nice and the technician was irritated with things I said or asked. I could see it in his actions and his face. I will never use this company again. Unfortunately, I've had experience with bad customer service from other companies and this one is up there. Ok so they came to repair my fridge and I felt they over charged me. Their responses is why I'm writing this. They were very short and willing to refund my money, which I appreciated. No sorry, no can we come back to fix the problem, and no apology for their technician's attitude. So I asked in another email if they wanted to come fix the problem and the exact words were "Your didn't like our service, price, everything, we read your review on Angie's List. Per your request the management refunded your money, refund check is in the mail. Call another company." CALL ANOTHER COMPANY...Wow, this company is not worth your time or money. I called for service around noon on a Tuesday and Fred, the repair man, was at our house by 1 PM. He instantly identified the problem which related to the accumulation of ice at the rear of the refrigerator's freezer compartment. Periodically the ice would melt & water flowed into an air vent which lead to the refrigerator below. He removed the ice. No parts needed. Fred noticed that the freezer door required a bit of a push to securely close. He adjusted the door's hinge and the problem was solved. The complete job took about 40 minutes. The company's $45 fee to evaluate the job was deducted from the service cost and a 30% discount was also applied. Net cost was $154.

I had a technician come out and see what the issue was with my refrigerator. It was leaking from the bottom. He knew what needed to be done and said it would be $325 and to give him $100 that day for parts. I looked up the part online and it's no more than $10. He then came back after 72 hours so the ice could melt and he could do his job. When he can out he was at my house for no more than 30 min replaced a temp sensor plug and I paid him the rest of the bill which was labor($225). I think this was way over priced and such a rip off. The gentlemen was not really pleasant and got irritated with me multiple times. This company needs to work on customer service and not over charge customers for the time they were here. I would like part of my bill back, I think it's only fair.

Everything went pretty well. The technician was on time, courteous, and friendly. He looked at the problem thoroughly and told me that there was nothing he could really do for the noise. We ended up finding a very non-technical solution for the issue and I was very satisfied with the cost in the end.
