Alex's install of the new power steering box, pump and related hoses went perfectly. The car steers better than ever and there have been no surprises. This job required quite a bit of disassembly of parts around those that were being replaced. Again, no surprises -- everything is back together and works properly.

In February, he sourced and installed a replacement radiator for the muscle car. This job went well also and there have been no issues associated with Alex's work.

Dealt with Alex at the shop. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and
helpful. He confirmed what I thought was wrong with the car (air
conditioning compressor). His labor rate was reasonable, the bulk of
the cost was parts. We will be using AB Automotive in the future.

He's the best and I like him a lot. He does excellent work. I would definitely use him again in the future if needed.

Alex explained the problem clearly and suggested I check with VW headquarters about reducing the price out of goodwill because the system failed so soon after warranty--something that shouldn't happen considering the age of the car. He gave me a copy of a VW bulletin (not to the level of recall, but a documented problem nonetheless) that describes just this problem for my model and year. I am waiting to hear from headquarters, but I appreciated that the honest advice he gave didn't involve him doing the work. He said that the fee I paid could be applied to fixing the problem should I chose to have AB do the work. His estimate came in $200 lower than the dealer's estimate, and his services in general (oil change, etc) seem to be quite a bit lower than the dealer's. I would definitely use his services in the future.

Great. We got in quickly, and the car was returned the next day. Been using them for my VW Jetta and Honda Civic for about 5 years. Always very honest about what must be fixed vs. what can wait until later.
