Terrible service!!! This guy is a crook. We were referred to Deric by his wife who worked with my husband. He came out to talk to us and seemed like a really nice guy. He was also friends with a neighbor and worked on their home so we felt comfortable. There had been a leak behind out dishwasher and the water damage caused a hole in our flooring. He said he could fix it with no problem. He gave us an estimate of 1580.00 which was high but at the time we didn't know any better and went along with it. We put way too much trust in this guy. He showed up the morning of the repair with two helpers, one was our neighbor. I was told I had to leave because it would take a long time so I packed up the kids and left for the day. He was there for not even an hour according to neighbors and did a terrible job. The new panel that he installed to cover the hole was uneven by about an inch. My husband looked at it and we agreed we should call him. He said that was the best and closest he could get. Not having any flooring experience, we believed him. He contracted out fo the new flooring that had to be placed as the old vinyl had to be ripped up completely and the guy who came out told us right away that Deric could have done a much better job and gave us a referral to another person who could do the job right next time. He said he spackled as much as he could, and layed down a thick coat to get the flooring as even as possible but it wasn't at all perfect. Sure enough, after the flooring was placed, there is a huge sunken in area that you literally fall into when walking over it. He left the job without putting any of the baseboards back. I called him to see when he would be coming back and he turned into a completely different person. He was very rude an annoyed that I even called him. Apparently my husband had called him earlier which I didnt know and he yelled at me that he had already talked to my husband, that he was on a job right now and I was making him stand in the rain to talk, and that he would be back when he could which would be next week or the week after. I was irate and told him to forget it, we would do it ourselves and not to come near my home again. A few months later we had another hole in a different part of the house and my husband and friend were able to do the same fix that Deric had done with no gap. It is perfect, flush with the rest of the floor and not even a hairline gap. Obviously he could've done a better job if he had tried but once he had our money, he could not have cared less. This was in 2010 and I couldn't bring myself to review until now and here we are years later having to hire and pay someone else to fix his terrible job. Save yourself the time and money. Go with ANYONE else
