LITTEN PLUMBING

I have used Litten Plumbing several times and have been very pleased with their service. This time, I had several tasks for Dave. I needed replacements of a water shutoff angle stop valve, a bath faucet (customer supplied), and a faucet water supply line. I also asked Dave to install a water heater brace (customer supplied).
The work was accomplished quickly and professionally, to my complete satisfaction. Without being asked, Dave recaulked the sink where the new faucet was installed which improved its looks.

Everything went well from start to finish. He provided the water heater (which is still running) which he installed, and did a thorough cleanup after the work was finished.

They are knowledgable. I have used them in the past so when I want somebody who can do the work and actually knows what to do, I call them. Their rates are competitive. They don't charge a truck fee. He is reliable. He knows his stuff and he actually does his own work, he doesn't bring in a helper and have them do all his work. I have never had to . They are very responsive, they work with you and your schedule. When he says he's going to come for an appointment, he comes and sometimes a little early.

I was checking the water heater closet for dust build up and
noticed a pile of rusty material on top of the water heater.
Upon inspection of the pipes above I noticed that the connecting
pipe to the heater had been leaking. I also had some other leaks
at three faucets. Litten Plumbing fixed everything in short order
and we were back in business. We've been using them since we
bought our house in 1984. They're reasonable and reliable and
always do a great job.

They're honest and do good work.

It might seem like a small job, when it becomes an emergency, a small job is, to me, a big job! So I really appreciate Litten coming out quickly and doing a great repair, on our schedule. We didn't have to wait for them all day. Our plumber came at the appointed time. Our plumber also gave us some good advice on what to do with other plumbing issues in the house, and had a lot of patience for our questions about possible future bathroom remodel plumbing changes. We are having them come in again soon to do a toilet installation. I would highly recommend Litten for any plumbing job!

i've used them so often (see above) that all start-to-finish stories are the same. I call, they say an approximate arrival time. they make the approximate arrival time. they tell me what needs fixing, what needs replacing. they do it. it's done. and all with pleasant face and honest communication.

i am so confident about them that i now leave my own door open if i cannot be home when they can come -- and i now have my tenants call directly to schedule, and i never have to ask why something was done-- and my tenants feel these guys (two brothers) are their friends.

I had called for a stoppage some time ago; then had to call a second time. The plumber didnt push to replace the pipe but after the second incident suggested I think about it and explained what would likely happen if I chose to do the replacement or hope the problem had been solved with the two service calls.

NOTE: My house is more than 50 years old and so is much of the plumbing.

At all times, this small family-owned company has been responsive, helpful and effective. My only regret is that I havent used for the whole time Ive lived in this area.

We called another company that was charging $49.95 for just the visit and they were going to credit $49.95 if we had them work on the job. We thought that it was excessive since they would most likely charge you the $49.95 plus more for the total project anyways. We joined Angie's List to search for a reputable plumber around us. We called Litten Plumbing in Temple City, and a friendly lady answered the phone at 4pm. She told us that Dave would call us right back to set up an appointment. Dave called within 20 minutes, and we set up an appointment for the next morning at 8:30 am and over the phone he told us that it was going to cost $78 for the job. Dave was on time at 8:30 am. We were glad that he wasn't those type of service men that promise you to be at your home within an interval of 4 hours. We explained to Dave the problem, and he immediately knew what to do. He even said over the phone when we called to set up the appointment that it was going to be an easy job. He went outside the house and he opened up the drainage pipe. He inserted a snake into the pipe, and voila, it was finished. His visit was less than 15 minutes! He offered to help clean up the water that was backed up from the pipes, but we said no thanks. We were happy with his service, punctuality, and his offer to clean up. My husband didn't mind the price but I think that for such a quick job, $78 was high.

I contacted Litten Plumbing about a problem with my garbage disposal. First, the operator was very helpful and even suggested a simple fix to see if that would work. Unfortunately, it did not. They were able to schedule me that same day. Dave came and worked on the myriad plumbing problems I had including replacing the garbage disposal, and replacing a broken shower faucet. In all the bill came out to $280, which is $76/hour for his time plus materials. Overall I found him professional and fair. I would use him again.

They aren't as busy as another plumber I use, and they were able to come out in a day or two.

Our kitchen-sink emergency occurred on Labor Day. I left messages with 4 plumbers; Kirk called back within the hour (the first of only two to respond at all) and arrived within 45 minutes. He quickly determined he would need motorized rooter-type device which he had in his truck. It took at least 3 hours (no fault of his) but he was very professional and got our sink operating again. His fee was very reasonable considering the time the job took and that it was a holiday.

It was very good, he was very punctual. I called him and he said that he had a few appointments before me, but he was very quick to come out and help me. His pricing was okay.

Dave stopped by our home the same day we called to give us a free estimate. We had called two other plumbers before we called Litten. One quote was for $480 to change out one faucet! Another was for about twice what Dave quoted us and that plumber told us the shower trim was not available (at all) for one of the showers. We were very pleased when Dave said he could get us the pieces we needed, no problem. The work was scheduled to take place within 1 week. Dave arrived promptly at 8:30 am, as promised. Dave was very friendly and professional. He was here for almost 4 hours and completed all of the work in a tidy manner. We are very happy with our new faucets and shower hardware!

I needed someone to come out right away, because the water supply for the house was shut off due to the leaking valve and broken cold water knob. Dave was there within an hour and took care of everything quickly and at a reasonable cost.

Dave is excellent and if I am out of town, he will still go by and do what ever I need. He has my full trust because I know he is responsible and a fabulous professional. I recommend him to all my friends and family because I love the fact that I can rely on him.

After the water heater was installed, it started leaking, but they immediately came out and fixed the problem. I thought they did a good job, and I was satisfied with their work. They were friendly and polite. I am not going to disclose the price for the service.

We have used these contractors on other occasions and were happy with their work. The worker took the time to tell us what was wrong with the old unit and answered all of our questions. I really like the fact that our new hot water heater has a great service warranty. We will continue to recommend them.

Our new unit was installed quickly without incident. They were careful in removing the old one and bringing the new one in. They did not leave any water or mess around my home. We were really pleased with their work. In fact, we have hired them again recently for another job.
