LEONARDS CARPET SERVICE INC

Design service ok. Install went ok. Problem with after sales support. Left only 5 tiles (no carpet or hardwood) even though it was requested on order. Called to repair numerous splinters in hardwood during 1st year. Called after yr 2 because of stain at stairs. I wanted to recarpet master closet or stair landing and use those pieces to replace stained area which was already a patched area with noticeable seam. Was referred to call Nancy though another location might be closer to my home. I told her I'm willing to pay for carpet and install as I understand this is out of warranty. Nancy said carpet was discontinued after 2 yrs. she would check. She never called back. I contacted Mohawk carpet customer service and they said carpet was available but sold only to builders. Suggested I contact builder to influence Leonards. Opened work request with builder and their contact said Leonards located my carpet. Had to call Nancy back as she doesn't return phone calls and she stated they could get my carpet but I needed to send Leonards a check for $125 for measuring charges. I don't understand the measuring charge as Leonards installed my carpet in the first place. I've gotten two quotes from companies to recarpet closet and repair area and they didn't charge for measuring and I'm not even their customer. Guess I didn't spend enough $$$ with Leonards to qualify for any type of on going customer service. Will never use them again. Better to choose a company that wants to build relationship with their customer.

THE LAMINATE FLOORING WAS INSTALLED ON THE WHOLE FIRST FLOOR. WE PAID FOR IT BY THE SQUARE FOOT AND YET THEY DID NOT INSTALL THE FLOORING UNDER THE STOVE. ALSO, WE WERE DISAPPOINTED WITH THE TRANSITIONS BETWEEN THE TILE IN THE BATHROOM TO CARPET IN THE BEDROOMS. THE TILE HAD BEEN CUT SO A ROUGH AND JAGGED EDGE BUTTED UP AGAINST THE CARPET AND IT WASN'T SEAMLESS. IN FACT, YOU COULD FEEL THE ROUGH EDGE OF THE TILE AS YOU STEPPED ON IT AND THERE EVEN VISUALLY APPEARED TO BE A GAP. IT JUST DIDN'T LOOK RIGHT. THEY DID COME BACK OUT TO TRY AND FIX THIS ISSUE BY LIFTING THE CARPET A LITTLE AT THIS TRANSITION, HOWEVER IT DIDN'T REALLY FIX THE PROBLEM. THE INSTALLER SHOULD NEVER HAD PLACED A CUT (IN HALF TILE) NEXT TO THE CARPET TRANSITION, THEY SHOULD'VE LAID THE TILE STARTING WITH A WHOLE TILE NEXT TO THE CARPET AND THEN GONE THE OTHER DIRECTION. THEY WOULD NOT REDO OUR FLOORS THIS WAY. LEONARDS SAID IT IS THE CHOICE OF THE TECHNICIAN AS TO HOW THEY WANT TO LAY THE TILE.

WELL THE FLOORING WAS FINE. THEY DIDN'T FINISH THE FIREPLACE BEFORE WE CLOSED, AND THE BUILDER HAD TO CALL THEM BACK AND HAVE THEM COME OUT AND FIXT IT.

OK, NOT WHAT I EXPECTED.
