I was initially told that even though their service was a little more per month, they had a "promotional" first treatment free of charge. So, I signed the contract expecting that my next billable treatment would be three months later. To my surprise they came out a few weeks later and did a treatment...so much for saving some money with the free promotional treatment. I called many times during the contract period to voice my concerns about being mislead by their sales person and that I wasn't going to pay for that first treatment. Well, at the end of the contract, I just let them keep sending me bills. Then I thought I should probably explain my concerns to them one more time. After all, It wasn't that I couldn't afford the $99, it was that I was mislead. I ended up telling my story to a supervisor there at the home office. She insisted that I owed the money so I paid it. Now I am in the process of writing negative feedback on every contractor review site I can find. I'm mad as h***. Don't use these people!

They revisited because that was part of the service. They saw an activity so they came out the next day and took care of it. This was the first time I used them. They sent a door-to-door sales person and he convinced me to sign up for the services.

Do Not Sign a Contract with them, or read the the VERY FINE PRINT!!!!
We are moving out of state and they charged me to cancel and brought up the fine print, they had to keep comng back to respray the ants were still crawling around. They will stalk you if you dont give them the ok to come to spray!!!! Bad Service overall there are too many other good ones out there to use BEWARE!! of this one.

If I have any problems in between the regular spraying, they come out for free. They always call me when it is time to spray. I like that; I don't want to worry about calling them. They let me know the day that they are going to be out, if that is convenient. If it is not convenient, we will arrange it for another day. They keep records of my dogs, that I grow vegetables, the details of our house; we have a couple of specific areas that need extra spay. They keep all that in their system, so when the guy comes out he already knows it, so I don't have to go routine every time they come out. It is usually the same one or two guys that come out, so they get to know you over time and they are very mindful of where my vegetables are so that they don't spray it. The guy always come to the door and tells me he is here. He goes out, does all the spaying and comes back to the door to and tells me he is done, and lets me know when I can let my dogs out. He would ask me if I have anything new or particular that he needs to keep track of. So they've been very good. I am very happy with this particular company. In think once or twice in the years I've used them they had to come back out with the free one, and they don't give you any attitude, they apologize and send someone out the next day and spray it for free if you have any in between problems. These guys have been great and they've been very loyal to me and I've been very loyal to them for the same reasons. I wouldn't want to leave a good thing.

I have always provided my own pest control without incident. We live in a relatively new development in China on old farmland near dairy farms so vigilance is important. When my wife became pregnant, I decided to hire professionals in case I got busy and missed a spraying. I didn't want to end up with bugs inside our home during pregnancy. It was a mistake. I've had nothing but problems with Home Front and now my newborn is getting eaten alive by something. We'll let our pediatrician assess what is happening there. We've had ants, spiders, pincher bugs, The one plus to them is that the employees who answer the phones are polite and courteous. They seem to be much better at sales of pest control services than they are at actually providing such services. The process began with a sales presentation. I called them from a referral. The technician appeared to be knowledgable. We shared our concerns and he recommended a treatment plan. We decided to use a mix of organic and non-organic products, despite the pregnancy, because the priority was to keep the bugs out ot the house so we can fight 'em outside instead of inside. We were clear that we wanted heavy barriers to entry.Their initial service is a higher fee and was sold to us as a "super service" that is heavier than the maintenance service. They used a lot of dry broadcast product. My gardners came later the same day and I was concerned that the blowers may have undone much of their work. I called with this concern and requested a re-do and was told that the initial service is no different than subsequent services and all should be fine to wait until next service. This information was inconsistent with that provided during the sales phase. The next service was erroneously peformed on my neighbor's home instead. I found out several weeks later when the neighbor handed me a service slip from them that was on his door. Great! Now I not only still have my bugs, but my neighbor's bugs have found my yard much more hospitable as well. The next services were reported to me by my observant in-laws as cursory quick visits with a few spritzes here and there, a little prancing, a pirouette and a cabriolet for an exit - no tutus though. Disclosure: nobody actually danced ballet, but based on results, ballet may have been just as effective. I am beginning to think that this is a cost-control issue. Maybe the sales and support services are so expensive that they need to control their chemical cost. I have an unreturned passionate call in to Home Front for 3 weeks now. I requested that the manager in charge call me and arrange for a complete assessment of my property after my contractors working on the upstairs nursery and for our newborn and Master had ants crawling all over them. No returned call. Note that we maintain a very clean home, professionally cleaned every other week, so we are not inviting trouble. A second call in which I requested an immediate service because baby was due to arrive was finally responded to and the technician appeared to my wife to be interested in helping. But it was a standard service call. No attempt to assess the situation inside and determine where bugs were entering from. And that is the rub with these guys. They are all very nice. Nonetheless, we've got BUGS GALORE!! If I wanted "nice" I'd hire a clown. I need competence.I have an annual contract with these guys so I intend to hold them to their committment. This happened on their watch. They need to fix it. Wish me luck!

About two weeks after the initial treatment I saw ants coming in through the fireplace. I called Home Front and they sent someone out the next day. On arrival, out came the long pole with the brush and he began brushing cobwebs off my wrought-iron fence, then did all my eaves and windows again. He retreated the inside of my house and the yards AGAIN and it didn't cost me anything extra. Two weeks after that was the first of my quarterly treatments. Out came the long pole with the brush again -- my eaves have never been so clean :) I pay $99 every three months and it's worth every penny. I just had my second quarterly visit and it went just as well as the other visits. In the meantime I haven't seen much in the way of ant activity outside, and none at all inside. I don't know what they use, but I've also noticed that I no longer get spider webs in my windows or bushes, which is an added bonus. These guys pay attention -- if they see that you put an ant bait outside, they'll inspect the area and treat it. They also keep your pet history on file and ask for updates when they call to schedule an appointment. Keep in mind that Home Front only does the inside of the home on the inital visit (unless you make a special request), their theory being that the spraying outside keeps the pests from getting inside. So far it's working. I'm extremely satisfied and plan to stay with them.

Their customer service is good. We have only been with them briefly and we have not quite seen the results that we are hoping for yet but they are very timely on their house calls. It costs $100 per quarter. We are not yet sure if we would use them again in the future. We have not been with them long enough to see how the results are and we have not used another company before because we are new home owners. So, it is hard for us to determine if the products that they are giving us are good enough. We have not been with them long enough to see the full results.

Max showed up in the early afternoon, spent an hour going around the outside of the house, in the garage, and inside the house spraying for bugs and insects. He put ant bait in cupboards in the kitchen where we had been having problems, and paid special attention to where our pets live. He made sure to avoid the area in the yard where my wife wants to start a garden. He also took the time to answer what few questions I had, and assure us as to what the immediate and long-term effects would be.
