Our 10-year old garage door failed to close after one of the tension cables let go.  The powered garage door opener pushed the door down far enough that the track was bent on one side and the door panels were out of alignment.  One of the rollers popped out and the bracket that secured the track to the wall pulled out of the wall.
I called Garage Door Specialists and they dispatched a technician within half an hour.  He arrived, asked about the situation, looked at the broken door and track, and quoted it.  I agreed to the price, and he went to work.  He untangled the loose cables, re-threaded them, loosened and re-tensioned the springs, and had the door back in the track within thirty minutes.  He then straightened the track that had pulled out from the wall and used longer bolts than the originals to secure it.  Finally, he lubricated all of the moving parts and tested the door.
It is now working more smoothly and quietly than before it broke.  The repair was accomplished quickly, professionally, and properly within a couple of hours from the time I called.  The price paid was the price quoted.  We're quite happy with this company and would use them again.

I called and explained that I found their name on Angie's list.  I went to their website and found a picture of the sales rep I was speaking with.  very courteous and polite, and a bit surprised when I told her I was looking at their website as a result of finding them on Angie's.  We had a nice chat, and she scheduled the service call the same day between 11AM and 1PM.  The serviceman Justin showed up about 11:30 and did a very thorough and professional job. Our complaint was that the doors were noisy and made a bumping sound when opened and closed.  Justin re-located the opener arm and adjusted the door to close firmly.  He greased the worm drive and lubricated the wheels.  Both doors are very quiet and we are HAPPY with the results.  Good company to work with.

The project was to install a garage door opener on the small door of a three car garage. Garage Door Specialists quoted me $325 for the basic install of a Liftmaster 1356 with one controller. I felt it was a fair price based on estimates received from other installers. 
The installer, Justin, arrived on time, professionally dressed and in a clearly marked company vehicle. Upon surveying the project, the installer advised me that there was going to be a slight problem with the install. Because of the distance between the top of the garage door and the mounting location of the door opener, the opener was going to have to be shortened in order to fit and operate correctly. This was going to incur an additional $50 in labor, bringing the total to $375. 
Fortunately, a neighbor with the same floorplan had mentioned the problem to me prior to getting this service done and I had already anticipated that I would have to be flexible with the price of the install.
The installation went perfectly with the end result being a garage door that now opens and closes automatically. 
The installer went above and beyond by also adjusting and lubing both garage doors AND he also took the time to adjust the garage door opener that had already been installed on the other door. The installer also took the time to show me the critical areas needing lubrication and also how to adjust the tension on the chain drive openers should they need adjusting in the future.
I would definitely use Garage Door Specialists again.

It went great. They were on time and courtious. They got us schedule quickly and didnt try an upsell. They are real excellent in everything that they do and really nice people. I would use them again and recommend them.

Our garage door is 12 years old and stopped working. At first I thought we needed a new motor. The woman answering the phone was very helpful and recommended a motor that fit our needs and price range. I had originally wanted two motors and a keypad. Later that day, I noticed later that the spring was broken on the door and called Garage Door Specialists back. They were able to contact the technician so he could bring the proper supplies. It turned out we needed new springs, not a motor.  The technician, Justin, was really great. He looked over the two doors and immediately knew how to remedy our problems. He went out of his way to reattach the smaller door mechanism (it had worked its way away from the wall). The bottom of our large door was coming falling away from the door, and he put two screws in to attach it (he did this without being asked). I thought he was very helpful and professional. Although we did not have the second motor installed over the smaller garage door, we will use Garage Specialists to do the work when we are ready. I would recommend this company without any reservation!

The trouble started when the door came off the track.  One of the cables had come off it's pulley.  
I called on a Friday morning hoping to schedule a visit sometime the next week, and they were able to come the same day.  
Justin quickly diagnosed the cause and proceeded to make necessary repairs.  He also checked and lubricated the rollers, adjusted spring tension.  The end bearings on the pulleys were worn, causing slack tension, so I approved replacement of these and the door functioned well.  I pointed out two roller brackets that had been modified by the prior owner with wood shims.   He repositioned and remounted these so they would be secure, and adjusted them as well.  I also requested replacement of the bottom gasket, as it had been gnawed by an animal at some point in the past.  Throughout the process Justin was working efficiently and quickly, having the correct tools and parts on hand.  

I called one day and they were out to my house the next day. The replaced the rollers and oil the garage door and also replaced one roll of hinges. He also inspected the garage door both from the inside and outside. He also noted that in the near future to replace the springs. Excellent customer service - very professional, friendly and knowledgeable.
