Brian Cullingworth Pools built my pool in 2006, a $92,000 contract, and now the pool is empty pending over $13,500 in needed repairs due to the poor workmanship, use of inferior materials, and bad engineering. The spillway they designed and built had material and engineering defects that allowed the salt pool water to leach into the gunite causing cracks in the gunite and pebble tec plaster, and rusting rebar. The result is the pool is now empty pending the demolition and rebuilding of the entire jacuzzi, replacement of the rusty rebar, replastering, and reconstruction of the spillway. The whole thing is a disaster and to add insult to the injury Cullingworth filed bankruptcy almost immediately after receiving the final payment but never came back to complete the work. I had to pay another pool contractor over $8000 to finish the job after Cullingworth Pools filed for bankruptcy. During the many months of construction, weeks would go by without any work being done. I had to call constantly to get a crew to even show up. The result was that the promised construction time of 3 months turned into 6 months and they never did complete the work. I sued them for the completion of the contract but they filed bankruptcy before making good on the contract. Cullingworth is the most dangerous kind of contractor. Clearly their knowledge and engineering practices do not meet the minimum standards and their lack of ethical behavior makes them a poor choice for anyone wanting a quality job from a quality contractor. I have documentation and photos to share with anyone who wishes validation of my claims. I can be contacted at rp92883@gmail.com
Description of Work: Cullingworth was contracted to do a complete swimming pool construction with decking, patio, and a BBQ entertainment area. He was paid in full for the entire contract in installments as required per the written contract.
