Gene completed the interior painting of the house in a reasonable time. However, as we never saw the work he did in the master bedroom until after he and his wife left our house we were disgusted to see that he had not removed a decorative border and painted over it. Obviously we were dissatisfied with the exterior painting as it never occurred.
Description of Work: Gene Among and his wife rented a house from us from January, 2008 until July, 2009. We hired Gene to paint the interior of the house in March of 2008. We inspectected the work with the exception of the Master Bedroom and were pleased with the work. In December of 2008 we hired Gene to paint the exterior and advanced half of the agreed price, $2650.00. In June of 2009 Gene notified us that he and his wife would be vacating the house within 45 days. At that time we noticed that no work had begun on the exterior paint job. I requested that he not begin and reimburse us for the advance. Gene advised us that he had purchased the paint. We agreed to deduct price of the paint from his reimbursement. He agreed. He has since refused to communicate with us. informed us that he would send us payments when he could afford to. He has since several small checks but still owes a substantial reimbursement.
