>>>>>>BIG WARNING<<<<<< DON'T EVER LET ANY OF THEM GET INTO YOUR HOUSE!!! LOCK THE DOOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'D GIVE NEGATIVE 5 STARS IF THERE'S AN OPTION!!!!!!!!!!! First of all. I WOULD NEVER HIRE THESE PEOPLE MYSELF. They were sent to fix my GM Monogram ventilation hood by the Home Protection Group. (It's a funny name, because clearly they protect you from nothing) I opened the door when the technicians arrived and the CIGARETTE STENCH hit my nostrils hard. This was the second time they sent the same technicians to my house. (The first time around he fixed the buttons on my dishwasher but short after his service the dishwasher started to collect water in the bottom. We don't want to pay another $70 for them to come "fix" it.) Now I think back I should have told HPG to delete Michale's from our service contact list. The problem with the ventilation is that the buttons on hood got stuck in and wouldn't turn on. I googled this first and knew that it's a common problem with Monogram. The technician first told me that this problem was due to improper cleaning, which I refused to accept base on what I read online. Then he took a sharp knife out and tried to unstuck the buttons. I was very skeptical about what he was doing because the sharp knife could easily scratch the stainless steel. I even used my phone to secretly take a picture of what he was doing, in case he made any damages on my ventilation. The he and his coworker took the stainless panels down and lay them on the ground. I had to walk away to finish my business and when I returned, they already put the panels back on and told me that they needed to replace a part that will take 3 - 6 days. The ventilation looked a little funny to me, I noticed that the panels were INSTALLED INCORRECTLY. The technician refused to put them back correctly and told me that when they come back to replace the part they will put them back right. It looks like he was going to throw a tantrum if I ask him to put them back because they didn't even bother to wipe their finger prints off. So I thought, fine, I'll wait 3 - 6 days. Not only that. A day after I ALSO FOUND A DENT ON THE STAINLESS STEEL PANEL THAT WAS NOT THERE BEFORE THEIR SERVICE. It is very easy to spot a sent on stainless steel. At that time I thought if I just tell them about this dent they would fix what they did. After the 6th day, NO ONE SHOWED UP AND NO ONE CALLED. I had to make a call to their office. The reception was NOT EVEN APOLOGETIC that their technician didn't come back with the part in time. He just very casually told me that it takes 2 weeks for the parts to come. I complaint that the technician left a messy job and now I had to wait an extended period of time. His answer was "you only need to wait one more week, when the technician come back they'll put the panels back right." uh....isn't that what you were supposed to do? I mentioned the dent to the receptionist and asked him to remind the technician to bring proper tool to fix the dent. The answer is the technician has all the tools he needs. After two weeks when the technician came back with the part I made the complain to him. He didn't take it well. He argued back to me that NOW they are going to put the panels back. (yeah mister, my complain is about what you did, not what you are going to do. dxxx fxxx) And when I mentioned about the dent, he TOTALLY DENIED it's done by him. He tried to tell me the dent was pushed out from inside of the panel, not getting hit from outside. That explaination didn't have any logic to me. Once they took the panels down, the inside part was exposed. The dent could easily be made by someone stepping on it or dropping a tool. The most outrageous thing is the attitude of the technician. HE ARGUED WITH ME WITH VERY LOUD VOICE AND OVER THE TOP MACHO ATTITUDE. He CUT OF MY SENTENCES with his loud and unclear words (very heavy accent) I'm a 5'2" Asian girl. To be honest I FELT VERY INTIMIDATED IN MY OWN HOME BY THIS TECHNICIAN (and his silent partner). We both wouldn't back down. I insisted that it's a sloppy job and the dent was not there at all before his great work. And I know that because I've stared at it for almost 4 years and it's very easy to spot. He just kept saying it's not his fault. When he was leaving the house, he asked me what I was going to do. I told him that I had to make a complain to the Home Protection Group. He even had the balls to tell me that's too much. "If someone who's supposed to fix your expensive appliance didn't do a good job and even put a dent on your property, you wouldn't complain?" I asked him back. He said NO. (well, OWN one first and say that!) I had nothing more to say to him, so I told him that if he was not going to fix the dent, his job was done here. Here's the best/worse part. Before he turned to the door, he told me that it takes a lot of force to make a dent like that. >>>AND HE POUNDED ON MY KITCHEN COUNTER<<< as a demonstration I guess. I'VE NEVER IMAGINED A TECHNICIAN IS ALLOWED TO DO THAT. I was furious and told him what he did was totally not necessary and they had to leave the house right away. THIS IS THE ONLY TIME I HAD TO KICK SOMEONE OUT OF MY HOUSE. After I complained to the Home Protection Group about my experience, they couldn't do anything about it because they claimed it's a he say she say situation. It's the second time Michael's sent the technician to fix one thing and caused another damage. I double confirmed with my cleaning ladies who have been cleaning my house for 3 years and very familiar with every inch with the house, they never felt that dent before. (yes, felt. They clean the panels with microfiber soft cloth and they've felt that dent before Michael's "great job") I called Micael's and talked to the owner myself. He said it's not their fault and the only way to deal with it is GOING TO COURT. I guess that's the only way to make inadequate people do their job right in this country. If my experience didn't scare you from hiring them, I have to say you are very brave. There are many companies out there that are much more qualified. Everyone I talked to from that company is RUDE, including the owner.

They came to our home through a warranty service. They were attempting to repair an old stove, Merritt & O Keefe; the repair man broke the timer by dropping it. The repair man said he will replace the device, however when after a week or so they flatly said, NO. This was their response, Take us to court, we will fight you all the way. This was even after he admits dropping the timer.
